SEEKING THE GODDESS

I’ve come a long way. I’ve come alone.

I’ve left my family - all I have ever known

Searching the Desert - questioning every stone.

Have you seen my cat?

Only a young cat small and refined

Delicate foot-work fastidious mind

But troubled and fearful of what she may find

This is a flat land - here nothing grows - but Light.

Light grows. And heat.

I seem to be walking - but maybe I’m swimming

Or maybe I’m flying? It’s hard to tell these days.

It’s hard to tell these days if you are walking

Or if you are swimming - Or if you are flying.

Have you seen my cat?

Only a young cat small and refined

Delicate foot-work fastidious mind

But troubled and fearful of what she may find

Then all of a sudden my legs are entwined

By the lift of her tail and her little behind

And the gift of her muzzle to say she’s inclined

To partake of a morsel if I’d be so kind

And Peace is restored to my suffering mind.

Far has she wandered - far from her home

Long has she been away - Long has she been alone

Combing the Desert - examining every stone.

It’s hard to tell these days if she is walking

Or if she is swimming - or if she is flying.

It’s hard to tell these days If she is talking

Or if she is singing - or if she is crying.

It’s hard to tell these days if she is winning

Or if she is losing - or not even trying.

It’s hard to tell these days if she is floating

Or if she is sinking - or if she is drowning

Or if she is dying.

This is a light place - this land is flat

Light of the Desert. Land of the Desert Cat.

Seeking the Goddess - Goddess BASTET

Far has she wandered - long has she been alone

Called by the Goddess - seeking her Desert Throne

BASTET the Goddess is calling her home.
