Fueled by the support of her family, friends, fans and the

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. organizers, Joana Cindy Miranda

expressed her confidence in representing the Philippines and
bringing home the crown for Miss Tourism Queen International
Pageant in Xianning, China on October 3, 2013.

"I have prepared for this my whole life, and I have been praying
to win. I am blessed with tremendous support from my family,
friends and the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. organizers and
this fuels me in the competition. I’m not just gunning for the
crown. I want to bring home the title to give pride to the country,
especially with all the calamities and problems the country is
facing now," said the 21 year old stunner from Nueva Ecija.
Miranda also shares she is very well trained by the Binibining
Pilipinas Charities Inc. organizers. She has been getting pointers
and tips from no other than Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner-up
Venus Raj. She has been working with Dale Carnegie for
personality development and has trained with the country’s top
speech experts for the Q&As. Cindy has also doubled efforts in
toning her physique by working out at Gold's Gym and doing a
protein diet.

Asked if Mutya Johanna Datul's recent Miss Supranational 2013

victory in Belarus added pressure for her to win the Miss
International Queen 2013 crown, Cindy shares she admits initially
feeling pressured, but is now more motivated to win. "I envision
myself, like Mutya Johanna, going home to the Philippines with a
crown and making Filipinos proud with my victory. The golden
batch of Binibining Pilipinas is really gearing for a grand slam this
year, and we are all really working hard to bring home titles."

Miranda shares she is working with Datul and has received tips
for the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant. "Mutya
Johanna's advice for me was to be myself, just be confident and
always smile." Cindy also says she counts on her natural beauty
as her edge against her other competitors.

Cindy shares she is working extra hard for the competition and is
dedicating her quest for the crown to her father who is currently
experiencing complications from diabetes. Miranda shares, "I am
a daddy's girl, he has been supportive to me all the way and has
been cheering me on throughout the Binibini competition, and I
hope to win the crown to make my father proud, especially with
his condition now."

The Binibining Pilipinas Chrities Inc. 2013 is presented by the

Araneta Center, ABS-CBN, and Creamsilk, and in cooperation with

Mutya started with Supra, who will follow suit?

I could be lighting the fire of debate with this post once
again. But what the heck?

Starting next month till December, the remaining Binibining

Pilipinas Gold winners will be taking on their respective
missions abroad – Cindy Miranda for Miss Tourism Queen
International 2013 in China on October 10, Ara Arida for
Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow on November 9 and Bea
Rose Santiago for Miss International 2013 in Japan on
December 17.

Mutya Datul started the ball rolling this month with a well-
deserved Miss Supranational 2013 victory in Minsk. Who
will (hopefully) win next? Truth be told, the pressure is
extremely high for the rest. I remember briefly FB-chatting
with Bea Rose a few weeks back when she confidently
stated her target to win the Miss International crown itself.
There really is no other way to psyche up one’s self than to
focus on the top prize.

Let’s see what fate has in store for the trio of Cindy, Ara and
Bea. If 2013 will turn out to be the winningest year of the
Philippines in global pageantry, then I can only shout for
joy.
