Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray
Gray was born in Cairns, Queensland, to
a Scottish-born father, Ian Gray,
from Fraserburgh, and a Filipina mother,
Normita Ragas Magnayon,
from Oas, Albay. Gray is reportedly
named after her paternal grandmother,
Catherine Gray (née Ross), an immigrant
to Western Australia from Scotland in
1952 and Elsa Magnayon (née Ragas), her
maternal grandmother from Oas,
Albay, Philippines.
Education
Gray was a student at Trinity Anglican
School in Cairns where she was a house
captain and a school chorister. She
received a master's certificate in music
theory from the online school of Berklee
College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts
Good Deeds
The 24-year-old model had been
vocal on her goal to end poverty in
the Philippines since she was a
candidate for Miss World in 2016.
She has her own project for it called
“Paraiso: The Bright Beginnings
Project” that raises funds for
children in the Smokey Mountain
landfill in Tondo, Manila.
Thoughts about her
We really idolized Catriona Gray. She is
the one of a kind and a great person as
well, because she stands up for the rights
of the children and she looks for the
beauty of smile in every child that no
matter where the estate of your life is, you
can be happy. She also believes that you
can do something great in the future. We
