Greetings from the PIEP Quezon Chapter!

Climate change indeed is generally viewed as one of the most important factors shaping the
type of plans, policies, and projects of local governments. Planning must capture the
changing nature of risks and evolving demands of resilience, adaptation, and development.

In connection with this, the PIEP Quezon Chapter and in association with other national
and local agencies, will be conducting a Training / Workshop on Climate and Disaster
Risk Assessment (CDRA), a planning tool to address the adverse effects of climate
change in our country. It will be held on August 22-24, 2019 at Nawawalang Paraiso,
Barangay Camaysa, Tayabas City. This event shall have an equivalent Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) points as assessed by the Professional Regulation
Commission (PRC).

Relative thereto, we would like to invite the respective DRRM Officers, Planning Officers,
Agriculture Officers, and relative policy-makers in your city/municipality to attend our
seminar/training. Registration fee amounting to Php 6,000.00 for each participant shall be
collected to cover the training costs and hotel accommodation, Php 4,500.00, on the other
hand, shall be collected from live-out participants.
