Introduction

OJT or On-The-Job training is a part of the curriculum that aims to train and
orient student students about their future career. OJT is a job training occurs in the work
place. This training helpful not only to teach the students to find their chosen career but
to show students the reality of working.

The students should not take OJT for granted because if a student get a high
grade in their evaluation the company might absorb them after they graduate. OJT Is
very important when applying for a job. A trainee should take their training seriously and
remember everything they could in the training ground. Oftentimes, employer will ask
you the relevance of your training to your course and to the position you are applying
for. If you still have no idea on what is meant to be a worker, OJT will give you a hint of
career realities. Students should realize the importance of OJT on their future career.
Having a good performance during OJT is very important especially now that there's a
tight competition towards job seekers and the high qualification of companies.

NorthPine Land Inc. History

In 1996, Hongkong Land joined Jardine Davies, Metrobank, Equitable Bank


San Miguel Properties in forming Jardine Land. The joint venture focused on strategic
land banking & the development of premium middle-income housing in the
Philippines. In 2005, Hongkong Land acquired Jardine Davies’ interest in Jardine Land
and became the single largest shareholder, owning 40%.

Enforcing the joint venture’s renewed commitment to provide high-quality


residential developments in the Philippines, the Company name Jardine Land, Inc. was
changed to NorthPine Land, Inc. in 2006. Through the years, NorthPine Land has built
a solid reputation for distinction, quality and value for money.

Currently, NorthPine Land has several ongoing horizontal developments, namely


Greenwoods, Forest Ridge, South Hampton, Kohana Grove, Kahaya Place, Wind Crest,
Montana Views and Montana Strands.

Narration of experience

On my first on the training, Ma’am Maria Concepcion Bacani a.k.a. Ma’am


Concon senior in the procurement department orient me regarding my training and
introduced me to the other staff of procurement and contract.

She gave me task that should be done by the day end. Mostly paperwork,
Encoding, filing and scanning PO (Purchase Order). After a month they teach me how
use the company system to encode, edit and print some of their files.

Conclusion

3 months of On The Job training in Northpine land Inc. is full of fun, drama,
sweat and blood. I learned so many things not just about how procurement works but
how to handle different situation I am in. I learned to be more cautious in what I say and
how to treat my colleagues. Always respect and talk nicely to everyone. How to be more
careful in handling papers and be more organize. Here I also learn how to get things
done faster and even multitask. I’ve done some mistakes but learned I from it.

Every is went good except for traffic, of course. OJT will definitely give you a hint
of career realities.
