CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
New mobile generations have appeared about every ten years since the first move
from 1981 analog (1G) to digital (2G) transmission in 1992. This was followed, in 2001,
by 3G multi-media support, spread spectrum transmission and, at least, 200 kbit/s peak
access
4G, or fourth generation mobile internet technology, is the current standard for
mobile network connectivity, offering speeds ten times faster than the predecessor.

CHAPTER II
First generation wireless cellular network was introduced in 1980s, till then
different advancement has been made in this direction and different generations were
introduced like 2G, 3G, and 4G networks after 1G. (Sagarkumar Patel*, Vatsal Shah,
Maharshi Kansara)
As the need arise, first generation was developed around 1980s by Nippon
Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) in Tokyo. So, Japan was the first country to
multiplexing was used in 1G. (Sagarkumar Patel*, Vatsal Shah, Maharshi Kansara)
Due to disadvantages like very less capacity and analog technology, 2G was
introduced in 1990s based on GSM in Finland. 2G had many advantages like radio
signals in 2G are digital, offered better security compared to 1G, made better and
efficient use of spectrum available and also had an added facility of text services. Its
improved version also included GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) which allowed
With more number of users using mobile phones to access internet, a faster
and robust internet connectivity was needed and 3G was introduced. The concept of
CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and WCDMA (Wideband Code division
multiple access) was introduced in 3G. NTT DoCoMo first commercially launched

CHAPTER V
Summary
The study was conducted to determine the number of users of 3G and 4G internet
Department.
Conclusion
Based on the presentation, analysis and interpretation of the data gathered, the
1. Most of the respondents were females; few were males, in which most of them
2. All of the respondents use internet, which is 100%, most of them use 4G internet
Recommendation
The students should not always use internet for unnecessary things, they should
