Once upon a time in a faraway field, there lived a
happy family of frogs. Daddy Frog was a good father, but he was a litte too conceited. He was always boasting about himself, especially to his children. “I am the biggest. Look at my body,” bragged Daddy Frog. His children clapped in amazement. One day the youngest frog ventured out into the paddy field. He saw a carabao. It was the first time he had seen such an animal so he was impressed by its large size. When the youngest frog returned home, he happily told Daddy Frog about what he had seen. “He has four legs and is very, very big!” the little frog said excitedly. Daddy Frog noticed the look of admiration on his son’s face so he started bragging. “Even bigger than me?” “Yes, Daddy. Much bigger,” the little frog replied, his eyes widening. Daddy Frog blew himself out. “Was he as big as this?” The little frog shook his head. “Even bigger than that!” The old frog blew himself out, filling his stomach with air. “Was he as big as this?” Again, his son shook his head. “Bigger than that, Father!” Very much annoyed, Daddy Frog blew himself out and filled his stomach with more air... Until it burst and he died. MORAL LESSON: Do not be conceited or boastful. It may cause more harm than good. QUESTIONS: 1. Who is the most important character in the story? - Daddy Frog
