Abstract
Electricity is a source of energy that is often used by many people, therefore electricity is one of the needs
of everyday life, especially in cities. With so much electricity usage we certainly need a lot of resources.
Electricity is usually produced from hydroelectric power plants, wind and so on but, rarely do people use
life as a power plant. Pakis Haji (Cycas), Tapak Dara (Vinca rosea L.), and Lidah Mertua (Sansevieria
trifasciata) are the solutions to various problems, one of which is absorbing excessive pollution in the soil
and air pollution. Pakis Haji, Tapak Dara and Lidah Mertua have contents that can absorb soil pollution.
Roots of Pakis Haji, Tapak Dara and Lidah Mertua absorb various substances and nutrients
phytoremediation is the name of this process. Phytoremediation is an important thing because the more
pollution increases, but this does not solve the problem of electricity that is very much needed. With the
presence of bacteria embedded in the soil caused by Pakis Haji, Tapak Dara and Lidah Mertua, these plants
can become a new power source and are more efficient than electricity resources such as wind power plants
and others because these power plants use living plants and develops over time. The amount of voltage
produced is also not small, but is not able to meet daily needs which require a large amount of voltage. This
research shows that the three plants produce a voltage of more than 0.1 volt which is also capable of
generating electricity when stored in a capacitor. Thus enough electricity can be produced for the needs if
the number of plants is sufficient.

Conclusion 09005025-3-Bab%202.pdf
Based on the research that has been done it can be concluded
that the Plant Microbial Fuel Cell (PMFC) with the media
of hajis ferns, tongue-in-law, and tread dara has the potential
to produce electricity. Greater electricity is generated at 1:05
p.m. and is produced most by the hajis because it has roots
containing bacteria which accelerate the rate of redox
reactions.
