Lesson 1: When given a 1 set of 5 matching Match object to object objects, student will match object to object when given teacher specified object paired with a verbal prompt of “where’s the (object)” from 0/5 objects to 5/5 objects per trial for 3 trials. Lesson 2: When given a field of 5 objects (e.g. Match picture to objects cup, doll, car, pen) and a verbal cue from an adult of “let’s match”, target student will match specified objects to pictures (i.e. photos or line drawings) from 0/5 objects to 5/5 objects per trial for 3 trials. Lesson 3: When given a picture of highly Initiating an independent preferred object (e.g. snack items, toys, communicative exchange colors) on a communication device (i.e. a 4 button switch or picture exchange communication book) and a gestural prompt of an adult open palm paired with a verbal cue of “I want”, student will use the communication device to initiate a communicative exchange by either removing the picture from book or by pushing the preferred item on a 4 button switch independently from 10% of opportunities to 80% of opportunities per session for 3 sessions. Lesson 4: When given a field of 2 pictures affixed Discriminate between preferred and vertically to a picture communication non-preferred objects book, 1 preferred (e.g. “Big Mac” single switch activated dancing car) and 1 non-preferred object/item (e.g. pencil), and given a verbal prompt of “I want ___” by and adult, student will discriminate between the items, Instructional Unit for the Skill of Requesting
