OPTIMOOR INSTALLATION

Optimoor is a 32-bit application and will run under all MS Windows operating systems. You are licensed to install the
program on any PC within your company without restriction, but you will need to move the key to make it work fully.
Without the original Optimoor key, the program will only run in OptiData mode. This allows data entry, editing and
saving, but prevents the calculation of any mooring forces or wave motions.

To install, run SETUP.EXE on the original flash memory stick/drive (which also serves as the licence/authorisation key -
and copies will not work). If you cannot install the program under Windows XP, try renaming XPSETUP.LST as
SETUP.LST instead. If the installation generates an error due to a conflict with an existing support file, the program may
still run anyway if you opt to ignore the installation errors. Alternatively, conflicts may be avoided by simply copying all
the files from the Support sub-folder into your OPTIMOOR folder and the program should run without system registration.

If you have the Wave Response Module (Seakeeping Option), you must copy the sub-folder Seakeeping Data together with
its contents from the Optimoor stick/drive across to the folder where you have installed Optimoor, as a complete sub-folder.
The HCF files in Seakeeping Data contain all the wave motion data for the various ship types. Access to them is authorised
by the small key file SeakeepingNNNN.LST so if you require the motion data for other ship types we simply send you a
new key file.

Under Vista and Windows 7, the Optimoor help file will not work unless the help engine Winhlp32.exe has previously
been installed. If not, you should click on one of the Help patch files to install it (Vista Help patch or Windows 7 Help
patch). There are different files for 32-bit and 64-bit systems. Alternatively go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6ebcfad9-d3f5-4365-8070-334cd175d4bb&displaylang=en
where you can get more information. You should also copy the support file ibfs32.dll into the folder with Optimoor.exe.

An occasional fault on first running is absent text, or text not displaying correctly. This is usually due to the absence of one
of the three font files used. These files (identified by their extension .TTF) in the Support folder should be copied into the
Windows\Fonts system folder if they are not already there. You should reboot after this operation.

Sometimes we have found that if you bring the PC out of hibernation (without rebooting) while Optimoor is still running,
the Optimoor key is not found or not recognised. To cure this, you can either re-plug the key, or (better) move the key to a
USB port nearer the CPU on the main unit.

If at any stage find that OPTIMOOR gives a fatal error message on loading, it is almost certainly attempting to load a
damaged data file. To stop this happening, delete the file LOGFILE which keeps a record of the filename of the last case
file. This will load a completely new case with no data, and you can then select a previous case which you think is OK.

There is comprehensive context sensitive help within OPTIMOOR. To get started you should press F1 and read the
explanation of the program structure. You will also find various manuals and guides in the Documentation Folder. TTI
can organise a training course if requested.

If you have a current maintenance agreement, you can update to the latest version of the program at any time by going to
www.tensiontech.com/software/optimoor/login.html and pasting your password to enter the client area.
