1.

Hezbollah
Leaders: Spiritual Leader: Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah (Died July 4, 2010)
Political Leader: Hassan Nasrallah
Key Planner: Imad Fayez Mugniyah
Recruiting Methods: Since it's goals and objectives (see below) are common to many citizens in
the area in which they operate, sympathizers and recruits often flock to support this
cause. They are inspired by a sense of nationalism and trying to take back the land of
Israel.
Execution of Attacks: Hezbollah uses varying attack strategies; from suicide bombings to
kidnapping to assassinations to bombings, they do what they feel is necessary to
achieve their goals.
More Info: Hezbollah operates in Lebanon, adjacent to the State of Israel that they feel was
wrongfully bestowed. They also control a large portion of Lebanese politics; they have
veto power in the parliament.
Goals and Objectives: Hezbollah seeks to restore the land of Israel to its "rightful owners." Its
original members were from a coalition of groups, the Islamic Jihad. They use many
different tactics to support their political beliefs. (see above)
Prediction: Considering Hezbollah's history, their attacks will most likely take place in Israel,
and could range in method and severity.

2. Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam

Leaders:Vellupillai Prabhakaran (died 2009)
Recruiting Methods: Sympathizers for their cause to create an independent state in Sri Lanka
make up the majority, if not all of their recruits.
Execution of Attacks: Their most common method seems to be seiging and sealing a particular
building, and then carrying out their objective from there. This has happened on multiple
occasions; sometimes they will fire upon those inside, or they will deliver a message or
statement. They also will attack known areas of their enemies, by invading and killing all
that they see as enemies. They also participate in "normal" methods, such as suicide
bombings, assassinations, air bombings, and sea bombings.
More Info: Hezbollah was officially deorganized in 2009, however with all its supporters, arms,
and ideals, it's quite possible that a remnant will rise up. We need to be on the lookout
for this, as it could pose a serious threat to those who believe it is permanently dead.
Goals and Objectives: The LTTE seeks to form an independent state within the country of Sri
Lanka.
Prediction: I predict that supporters of the LTTE will reorganize and try again. Their tactics are
described in detail above, and they can use any or all of these methods.

3. Anarchist Movement
Leaders: Anarchy has no "leaders," but it does have influential figures. These include people
such as Emma Goldman, John Zerzan, Joseph Proudhon, and Jean-Jacques
Rousseau.
Recruiting Methods: You may already be one. There is no "club;" if you believe in the cause,
then you are an anarchist.
Execution of Attacks: The attacks are few and far between, but when they strike, they strike
with a purpose. One of the most recent examples is the Battle for Seattle, a protest
against the local WTO meeting that resulted in terrorism-like activities.
More Info: Anarchy as a cause has been around for as long as there has been government. It
flares and wanes, depending on the times, but there will always be supporters.
Anarchists are almost impossible to categorize or profile, and they have a large network
from which to draw support.
Goals and Objectives: To "establish" a state of anarchy, or a system without government.
Oftentimes this also refers to corporations or large organizations, not necessarily being
a political ruling system.
Prediction: With a system as characteristically unorganized as this, there is no way to tell where
or when the next attack will take place until it is almost too late.
4. Neo-Nazi and/or White Supremacist Groups
These groups consistently change names, organizations, leaders, and tactics, but they
are, in essence, the same group. They represent the same values, though they may
change slight details. This includes groups such as the KKK, Aryan Nations,
Confederate Hammerskins, and others.
Leaders:These organizations have leaders such as Richard Butler, Eugene Terre'Blanche, and
Adolf Hitler.
Recruiting Methods: Recently, recruiting has dwindled, but recruiters use issues such as
immigration or same-sex marriages to find sympathizers or recruits.
Execution of Attacks: More modern attacks have been target assassinations, "hate crimes,"
and other anti-minority actions.
Goal and Objectives: To purify the white race
Prediction: I think they will continue to operate in the same way, attacking to inspire fear in the
minority groups.

5. Hamas
Leaders: Chief of the Political Bureau: Khaled Mashaal
Prime Minister: Ismail Haniyah
Foreign Minister: Mahmoud Zahar
Recruiting Methods: Hamas has many sympathizers in its area of operations; it appeals to
religious people because it claims to be restoring Islamic fundamentalism; it appeals to
benevolent citizens because it claims to be helping the good of the people, and it appeals to
nationalists because it claims to be restoring the state of Palestine.
Execution of Attacks: Hamas has its own military wing, which uses tactics such as bombing and
raids. Its soldiers also have formal training.
More Info: Hamas has a wing devoted to the welfare of the people
Goals and Objectives: To restore Islamic fundamentalist views to the state of Palestine
Prediction: I think that they will continue to use force and public opinion to achieve their goals
