Follow Directions
In typing class we will be exploring many different aspects of typing and internet safety. It is VERY important that students
follow directions so that we all end up where we are supposed to be. In order for students to develop and stay on track to
meet our typing goals, they need to listen to plans and tasks for each lesson.

Careful Hands
Dealing with computers, headphones, and other expensive equipment, students are expected to respect that equipment and
treat it with care. When we type we need to keep our bodies calm and controlled, so that we don't accidentally damage the
computer. Students not being careful can lose computer privileges.

Positive Actions
When interacting with classmates, it's expected to be kind and use positive words. Sometimes typing can be frustrating or
discouraging. Using positive words and encouragement can help a classmate work harder to improve. Students should use
phrases like, "try again!" or "I know you can do this."

Stay on Task
When we are on the computers, students should only be on the websites I've assigned. Browsing the web or playing other
internet games will not be permitted. Staying on task is the best way to improve steadily and reach our typing goals. I will do
my best to make sure our lessons are engaging and fun!
