Kiara : What do you think about our new apartment?

Gian : I feel that this place is very nice; the lovely garden, the refreshing fish pond, and the
big parking space
Kiara : That’s exactly what I think. But would you agree that the paint is a bit shady?
Gian : Well, I’m afraid I have to disagree with you on that. I think the colour perfectly fits.
Kiara : I think we are on a different page about the paint. In my opinion, we should repaint it
with brighter colour.
Gian : Well, I respect your opinion.

Task 3: Writing and Speaking

Create a dialogue using the expressions of asking for and giving opinion by choosing
one of the situations below. Perform your dialogue in front of the class.
a. You and your friend are discussing about the latest movie “Fast and Furious”. Your
friend thinks that the movie is too boring because it doesn’t present various types of
modified car unlike the previous sequels. You disagree with him/her and states that the
film is fulfilling your satisfaction.
b. You ask for your friend to accompany you to go to One of your Favorite K-Pop;s
concert this week at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). But your friend doesn’t want to
accompany you because she/he thinks that they are not a good singer that watching
their performance is only waste of time and money. You convince your friend by giving
your opinion.
c. Your friend shows you her/his new watch that he/she got as a birthday present. He/ she
thinks that it is old fashion and the colour does not fit well to her/his skin. But you
disagree with him/her about it.
d. You and your friend go to the Museum. You see one of a painting there and give your
opinion about it. But your friend doesn’t have a same opinion with you.
