2017 Cutaway Program Overview

A BRIEF HISTORY OF FLIGHTGLOBAL CUTAWAYS

Since the early 1930s Flight International, part of FlightGlobal, has become especially well known globally for producing unique
aircraft and engine illustrations, known as FlightGlobal Cutaway.

These impressive technical drawings have continually informed aerospace professionals all over the world of the developments
in civil and military aircraft, as well as engine programs, in uncompromising detail. FlightGlobal Cutaways are a benchmark for
detail and accuracy.

Within FlightGlobal's archives are well over a thousand aircraft, space vehicles and aero-engines, ranging from the Zeppelin to
the F/A-18F Super Hornet, and the Autogiro to the Airbus A380.

FLIGHTGLOBAL CUTAWAY SCHEDULE AND SELECTION CRITERIA

A FlightGlobal Cutaway poster is not a standalone piece. It is accompanied by an editorial feature in Flight International
magazine, which may run over several pages. This can be in the form of a technical description, test flight, in-service report or
linked to a program mile-stone.

Often the featured aircraft will appear on Flight International's front cover to coincide with publication of the Cutaway poster.
However, a front cover image is never guaranteed as this decision is made at the discretion of Flight International's Editor taking
into account break news and other industry events at the time of publication.

In light of the critical requirement to keep Flight International's content interesting, lively and topical every week, it is not always
possible to have a FlightGlobal Cutaway produced and published.

Topicality and timing to a program milestone, i.e., program launch, certification, roll-out, first flight, are key considerations in the
selection process and timing of a Cutaway.

FLIGHTGLOBAL CUTAWAY P ACKAGE, TERMS & CONDITIONS

FlightGlobal is responsible for complete design and publication of a Cutaway and retains ownership at all times.

The sponsor (aircraft OEM) will work willingly and efficiently with the FlightGlobal artist to arrange access to relevant
departments and personnel that will assist in the completion of the FlightGlobal Cutaway in a timely manner.

FlightGlobal's artists produce the illustration with the full cooperation of applicable staff of the respective program, but
FlightGlobal retains full copyright and control.

FlightGlobal Cutaways are printed on 135gsm paper stock and tipped in to Flight International as a pull-out poster. The folded
poster is attached to the page with a low-tack gum strip, so a reader may easily remove it from the magazine.

The sponsor's logo is included on every poster and positioned at the discretion of FlightGlobal. Logo supplied by sponsor.

The sponsor is granted the non-exclusive right to use the drawing for three years, with no restrictions, provided proper
accreditation is given to the FlightGlobal copyright.

A QR code is included on every printed pull-out poster included in Flight International to enable reader to download
an e-version of the Cutaway image to their desktop, laptop, tablet or handheld device.

FlightGlobal will supply the sponsor with one high-resolution CD of the Cutaway for their own use. After three years the
customer may purchase extended rights to use the Cutaway image in one year increments, with costs starting at $3,000 per
year.

The FlightGlobal logo and name of the Cutaway artist must be included at all times on reproduced FlightGlobal Cutaways and
the illustration must not be altered in any way from the original format.

If the sponsor desires, they may remove all or part of the key text on a reproduced version.

Non-exclusive rights to the sponsor are non-transferable by the sponsor.

FlightGlobal selects a standard typeface for all Cutaway text including main title and deviating from the house style is non-
negotiable.
Upon publication, the sponsor will be provided 1,000 flat posters (no folds) for their own promotional purposes. The sponsor
may order additional posters (reprints), in blocks of 1,000 and will be available to the customer for twelve months from original
publication date, at cost price. Beyond the one-year anniversary standard rates apply.

Upon publication one professionally matted/framed Cutaway, signed by the original artist, will be presented to the sponsor for
their own use.

At the sponsor's request, the artist may be available to sign posters at trade events where the sponsor is participating to help
attract their customers and other trade visitors to the sponsor's exhibit area.

FlightGlobal retains the right, with the sponsor's cooperation and support, to offer key program suppliers an opportunity to have
their company logo positioned on all posters.
