Force Finishing in Dentistry

Post Congress Hands on Workshop
2 Sep 2019, Thailand
Contemporary dental procedures such as crown, bridges, multiple restorations, orthodontics, implant dentistry,
partial or full mouth rehabilitations etc. are highly sensitive in maintaining occlusal force harmony within
stomatoganthic system. Various clinical studies and research findings have already shown that occlusal forces
disharmony within stomatoganthic can lead to multiple clinical sign and symptoms of Occlusal Force Diseases
(OFD). The occlusal forces components such as occlusal force percentage on each tooth, centre of occlusal
force and occlusal contact timing sequences during mandibular closure are very critical factors in achieving
occlusal force harmony and healthy dental occlusion. It is to be noted that occlusal forces components are
not objectively quantifiable with the use of only traditional articulating paper marking approach. However,
with the development and advancement of digital occlusal forces scan technology and noble Force Finishing
concept and its protocol in dentistry, clinicians can now digitally record and objectively analyse all occlusal
force components and can customise and finish properly the occlusal force parameters as per the clinical
need and requirement of the patients.

Program Objectives Occlusal Forces Diseases (OFD)

On completion of the program, participants will be able
to:
1. Understand Teeth, Muscles, Joints and Airway (TMJA)
Harmony Dentistry and its clinical benefits
2. Recognize the role of occlusal forces elements in
stomatoganthic system harmony
3. Understand Occlusal function and para-function
4. Identify, analyze and classify the Occlusal Force
Diseases (OFD)

Design: www.colornpixel.com
5. Understand Force Finishing goals and its core principles
6. Apply the minimally invasive Force Finishing protocol
and tools in as per clinical needs
7. Use properly the digital occlusal forces and timing
analysis technology (T-Scan III ) for Force Finishing
