PROFITABILITY AND COST ANALYSIS OF BERCOS

INTRODUCTION
Berco’s is one of the most distinguished names in the culinary world as far as Chinese and
Thai food is concerned. Since its inception in the year 1982, it has become a name to reckon
with. Berco’s is known for its delectable Chinese and Thai cuisine and its service par
excellence. Berco’s do business in both owned and franchised model. The mission is to serve
visually appealing the tasty food in a true oriental dining ambiance, accompanied by
proactive services where the guest feels recognized and important.
Berco’s has a total of 35 outlets spread across Delhi NCR and a few other states as well
namely, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Out of these, 14 are owned by Berco’s itself
while the rest are under a franchise model.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY-

• To find out the Profitability of each outlet.


• Analyze petty cash of all outlet.
• Analyze the home Delivery Sales of each outlet.
• Suggest some areas of improvement after analyzing the financial data.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The main source of information will be research on the industry and company books of
accounts. Basically, all data will be secondary from where it will analyze. Other important
pieces of information will be discussed by the management.

PROPOSED ANALYSIS
Various accounting terms will use to meet objectives. Profitability ratios will be used.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

From this research, I would be able to tell what the company position in the market is, where
the company stands. What is the profitability per outlet. And whether petty cash expenses
account are accurate or not. What should they do to increase more sales and decrease their
cost. From this analysis we can recommend the company what should they do to increase
sales of less profitable units.
