The Admission to different Undergraduate & Post Graduate Programmes at National Institute of
Technology, Rourkela through JOSAA - 2019 Centralized Counselling for Various Under Graduate
Programmes(B.Tech, B.Arch, Dual Degree, Int. M.Sc.) conducted by NIT Trichy will be held from
02nd Aug, 2019 (Friday) to 05th Aug, 2019 (Monday).
For the same, Candidates who are allotted NIT Rourkela are advised to fill necessary details at NIT
Rourkela online portal: http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in till 05.08.2017, 11:59 AM. Candidates
who are allotted NIT Rourkela are required to report physically and take admission at NIT
Rourkela as per the following schedule:

Admission Procedure:
For admission, candidates are required to bring the following documents in ORIGINAL with a
photocopy (attestation not required) of each.
Printout of the “Online Enrollment form” & “Address Slips” obtained from

2. Provisional Seat Allotment letter in original received from JOSSA 2019.
3. Letter on subsequent upgradation, downloaded from JOSSA website (last round
allotment), even if there is no upgradation.
4. JEE(Main) Rank card
Pass Certificate of High School Certificate Examination/Equivalent Examination/Birth
5.
certificate for proof of date of birth [Original + 1 photocopy, Original will be returned]
6. Mark sheet/Pass Certificate of Qualifying Examination [Original will be returned]
7. Memorandum of Marks of all Examinations starting from HSC onwards

** (1) In order to claim tuition fee waiver based on income level, students need to produce
income certificate of both father and mother issued on or after 01.04.2019. The income
certificate should be issued by the Competent Authority. In case a student is unable to
produce income certificate of either father or mother, he/she will not be given any tuition
fee waiver. Such students need to pay the full fee at the time of admission. In future if they
produce both certificates, they will be given tuition fee waiver which will be adjusted in
next semester fee.
**(2)In order to avail such tuition fee waiver in subsequent years, students need to produce
income certificate of both parents (father and mother) before July of that year considering
income of previous financial year.
**(3) In case mother is a house-wife and has no income, the student need to submit
an affidavit from her mother duly attested by executive magistrate.
Payment of balance Institute fee will be done through Demand draft in favor of “Director,
NIT Rourkela” payable at any Nationalized bank in Rourkela. This draft has to be
submitted during admission process. Students need to fill up the details of the Demand
Notes
1. The admission process will be on First come-First serve basis. On a particular day the no. of
students taking admission will be limited to around 250. So students may come prepare to stay
an extra day to complete the admission process.
2. It may so happen that fees in the different heads (including tuition fee) may be increased by
the concerned authorities. In such case, students are required to pay the increased fee in
addition to above mentioned fees.
3. Hostel will be allotted at the time of admission and students are required to come
prepared for staying in the hostel from the date of admission since there is no time to go
back and come again.
Location:
NIT Rourkela is around 8 kms away from the railway station. Applicants may hire an auto and reach the
Institute. The minimum auto fare is Rs. 120/-

Refund Rule:
After the last withdrawal/cancellation date of JOSAA 2019, if an admitted student cancels admission/
withdraws/leaves the Institute without completing the entire programme, all fees paid including the
caution deposit will be forfeited by the Institute. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues, if
any. This clause is applicable even before formal registration to the 1st semester and starting of classes.
