Opening Program

INTRODUCTION

JENNIFER: sports is one of the ways for people to bond and bridge their differences aside from
harnessing and showcasing their abilities.

JANICE: today,the athletes from the different grade levels of PinamungajanNHS will exhibit to use
and show their skills and abilities to capture the gold and prove to the people whose worth is to be
called CHAMPIONS.

JENNIFER: who will be the fastest?

JANICE: who will be the toughest?

JENNIFER: and who will soar the highest?

JANICE: we welcome you all to one of the highlight of the school year the INTRAMURALS 2019 with
its theme;

BOTH: “BUILDING UP CAMARADERIE & SPORTSMANSHIP THROUGH SPORTS & CULTURE

COMPETITION”

JENNIFER: what a great day to start our activity/right Mam Janice?

JANICE: Indeed it is great Sir Jen,not just because of the beautiful weather but because GOD is super
good for giving us a day to enjoy,to bond, and to celebrate greatness and life positivity.

JENNIFER: that’s right,,,so good morning everyone,it is a privilege to be hosting this affair.. I am
Jennifer Arrogante.

JANICE: and I am Janice Gumahad,and it is my great honor to be co-hosting this memorable sporting
event of the year.

DOXOLOGY & PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ANTHEM

JENNIFER: brace ourselves as we kick off this opening program with GOD’S holy presence through a
doxology led by Mr. Adonis Baraga PNHS Faculty President,followed by the singing and hoisting of the
Philippine flag by Mrs. Niña Mae Arrogante together with Mr.Mitchel Tundag.
 WORDS OF WELCOME

JANICE: part of being a champ is acting like a champ.you have to learn how to win and not run away
when you lose.So to give us a words of welcome to this significant and highly anticipated event of the
year,a woman of excellence and brilliance and a hardworking leader,no other than our very own school
principal – Dr. Rose Joan L. Blasco...lets give her a round of applause...

PRESENTATION OF PARTICIPATING TEAM

JENNIFER: at this point,may i call in our very dynamic MAPEH DEPARTMENT HEAD to introduce to
us our high spirited and enthusiastic athletes no other than Mrs.Hasel Escalante.

“Thank you mam Hazel and thank you also athletes”.

SPORTS MESSAGE

JANICE: according to Alan Armstrong , “Champion do not become champion when they win the
event,but in the hours,weeks,months and years they spend preparing for it.the victorious performance
itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character.”

This time,lets hear a word of inspiration coming from our town servant leader known for his passion for
excellence,a aman known for his great humility and dedication.Together let’s all welcome our Municipal
Mayor Hon. Glenn F. Baricuatro..

READING OF THE RULES OF THE MEET

JENNIFER: Thank you so much our beloved mayor,Hon Glenn F.Baricuatro.At this juncture may we
call on Mrs.Myrasol ClaireM. Quimada for reading the rules of the meet.
Thank you mam,There yoiu have it athletes the rules of this whole event just follow the rules,have fun
and play by your heart...

RAISING OF THE SCHOOL BANNER

JANICE:That is right sir,,now moving on,let us all witness the raising of our school banner headed by
Mrs.Virginia R. Gerzon together with Dr.Chinito Fajardo.Lets give them a big hand please....

MESSAGE

JENNIFER:”There are victories of the soul and spirit.Sometimes,even if you lose,you win”.This time
we will hear another inspiring message coming from our newly elected Vice Mayor Hon.Richard Canillo.

 OATH OF AMATEURISM

JENNIFER: Now let us have Jemuel Adolfo..our 2018-2019 Palarong Pambansa athlete to lead us the
Oath of Amateurism..

JANICE: in the Olympic history,,the lighting of the symbolic flame signifies beginning of the next
quadrennial and preparations for the next Olympic games and the Olympic flame represents the basic
spiritual significance of the Olympic Movement which is a symbol of peace among people of the world
and the torch is a symbol of harmony and goodwill.

So now,for the lighting of the symbolic flame,may i request our honourable Municipal Mayor Glenn F.
Baricuatro to do the honor as our torch bearer transport the flaming torch up to the stage..Lets give it
up to our to our grade level representative..Lets give them a resounding applause.Drum Roll please....

Now lets witness the lighting of the symbolic flame..Abig hand please..

OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF INTRAMURALS 2019 & RAISING OF TEAM

JENNIFER: All right here we are,one of the most awaited part of the program is the declaration of
the official opening of the INTRAMURALS GAMES which facilitated by our respected principal Dr.Rose
Joan Blasco and the raising of the TEAM BANNER..So listen first teams for a short reminder.As soon as
our Principal done declaring and announcing the official opening of the INTRAMURALS,,every team
captain and muses will automatically run and raise their team banner..Understood players?So,be ready
for your cheers.

JANICE: Former Olympic Ice skating Champion Nancy Kerrigan said..”Part of being a champ is acting
like a champ.You have to learn how to winand not run away when you lose.”
Congratulations to all of us who are here especially to our honoured guest who in one way or another
maje this event possible.Before we end this program may I request everybody to please stand for our
HATAW DANCE...
