Florida License Timeline

Liquor Stores If all inspections city & county are done the day the stores close and there are no issues and we walk in the occupation licens
It is possible to open the liquor stores the day after closing however that is if everything is done in advance

Main Stores It will take about 20-30 days to open most grocery stores in Florida as long as the items below have no issues.

Each store must have someone who can verify the inspections and take the necessary paperwork by hand to each location city &/or county office

Liquor License get appointment takes about 14-30 days prior to filing application
application, transfer forms, fingerprint cards. corporate paperwork & checks can be walked in
& a temporary operating permit can be issued that same day.
A permanent license will be mailed within 30 days after verification of info and transfer bill is issued & paid.

Health Permits all locations (liquor & store) are required to have a valid health permit prior to receiving an occupational license
Occupational appointments must be scheduled at least one week prior to day of inspection
Licenses health inspections can be scheduled in advance for the day the liquor store closes if there are no major changes done inside the store
Fire Inspections occupational licenses must be walked into each county or city office as soon as the health inspections are completed
Certificate of Use a license can be issued in most cases on the same day the liquor store closes unless the city requires a new building inspection
the main store will take longer as there are more departments to inspect and then we must wait until there are perishables in place.
we usually get the health inspections done about 3-5 days prior to the main store scheduled opening date
we will again have to hand deliver the city &/or county occupational license
fire permits and certificates of use must be issued prior to or at the same time the health inspections are done
again occupational license may be delayed if these are not issued before the we file the applications
