The Therme Vals is a hotel and spa in one which combines a complete sensory experience

• bath rooms lay below a grass roof structure half buried into the hillside

• The building is made from local Valser quartzite and concrete

• One walks down long stone steps into the main area which bathers are allowed to explore – this space
consists of baths and large hollow stone blocks which contain bathing functions named accordingly (SEE
LEGEND)

• The fountain grotto occurs at the end of a small bath that begins at the end of the main stair. To enter the
space, one must swim through a narrow passage that is cut into the stone block. The depth of the water
makes it necessary to hold onto the brass grip rails as he or she joins others that line the edge of the space


The museum Querini Stampalia is a historical sixteenth century building in Venice. The museum on the second floor,
preserves one of the richest art collections of the lagoon city with over four hundred paintings from the nineteenth
century. The picture gallery is displayed within twenty rooms on the second floor of the palace, which also contains
furniture, porcelains and musical instruments, along with works by artists ranging from the 14th-18th century.
