We have already talked about the effects of technology in our life. However, I
have not mentioned an importand field, which is affected directly by
technological advancements; the bussiness field.

The first advantage of using technology in business is the increase of speed and
saving of time. Today, with the advent of information technology, information is
shared at an astounding rate. This saves time, offering companies the ability to
make decisions faster.
Technology has also improved marketing. Internet marketing ranges from a
simple informational website, to advertising on search engines, to online product
sales. Email marketing is an effective and low cost method to reach a large group
of people with a newsletter, coupons or business updates.This way technology
has helped us to shorten distances.
Secondly, technology has made business work in a more productive way. This
may range from printing out marketing materials to providing customer service
through email or online chat. Providing employees with the right hardware and
updated software is the best way to keep them working at peak proficiency.
Business technology isn't limited to uses surrounding desktop and laptop
computers. Many tasks that used to be done by hand are now automated and
handled by specialized technology tools. Innovative small businesses are also
working in high-tech industries like nanotechnology and biotechnology and are
on the cutting edge of creating new technologies.
However, technology has its own disadvantages which greatly affect companies.
First, technology is not a one-time cost but an ongoing expense. Also, the
implementation of technology gives a lot of risks to businesses. The simplicity of
technology comes with a great cost: It change employees for worse, by making
them lazy and thus affecting the workplace relationships. Technology can be
dangerous, if people start to depend heavily on it.
To sum up, technology has transformed the way we see business today.
According to the experts, it will continue to do this thing in the future in a higher
rate. Innovations in technology have improved operations at companies of all
sizes and helped turn small local businesses into global businesses.
