 University Admission Test will be held on July 28, 2019

University Admission Test:

GAT (General) will be conducted for admission in all Master Degree Programs and GAT
(subject) will be conducted for all PhD Degree Programs. For model paper, visit www.etea.edu.pk

Required Test Score

i. 50% score for M.Sc. (H), M.Phil, and MS degree programs

ii. 60% score for all PhD degree programs

Procedure for Apply:

i. Candidates shall apply online for admission test on University website (www.aup.edu.pk),
separately for each discipline.
ii. Copy of Admission test form along with receipt of Rs. 1500/- (Non-Refundable) as admission
fee to be deposited in AC# 14877900510103 Habib Bank Ltd Branch, University of
Agriculture Peshawar, shall be submitted to the DASAR Office on or before July 15, 2019.
iii. Candidate who secures the qualifying test score shall deposit admission processing fee of Rs.
1500/-( Non-Refundable) in the above account and submit the form along with required
documents and bank receipt to concerned Department/ Institute on or before July 29 to August
09, 2019.
iv. Candidates applying for more than one disciplines, must fill and submit separate form
alongwith receipt of Rs. 600/- (Non-Refundable) for each additional discipline.
v. All those candidates whose results are awaited, can also apply for admission test only, however,
provisional certificate/degree must be submitted for admission on or before the interview date.
vi. Details about the admission schedule are available on the University website.
vii. Only those candidates, who have submitted the University Admission Test Form to the DASAR
office within the due date will be allowed in the entry test. No forms will be entertained after
the due date.

General Eligibility
PhD: Master Degree (18 years of education) in the respective field of studies with CGPA 3.00
under semester system or 1st division with 60% marks or more under annual system (with at least
27 credit hours of course work). Only one second division or grade C is allowed in the academic
career

M. Sc. (H), MS, M. Phil: Four years Bachelor degree(after intermediate) with at least 56%
marks (under annual system) or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 2.50/4.00 (under
semester system) with at least 130 credit hours from HEC recognized institution in the respective
field of studies. No third Division or grade D in terminal degree.

Postgraduate Diploma: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences, Home Economics and B.Sc. (Hons) in
Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences

Specific Eligibility

Applicants possessing M. Sc. (Hons) Agri. in the relevant field of study.

(Deficiency courses of undergraduate level will be given where necessary)
except Rural Development and Extension Education & Communication.
Rural Development and Agric. Extension & Communication: Applicants
with M. Sc. (Hons) degree in any field of Agriculture (only) can apply.
PhD (Deficiency courses of undergraduate level will be given where necessary)
Biotechnology & Genetics Engineering: M.Phil Biotechnology
Theriogenology and Pathology:B.Sc. (H) Animal Husbandry, Doctor of
M. Phil Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or MBBS

Management Science: Four Years BBA (Hons)/B.Com (Hons) or MBA,

M.Com, MPA, MA Economics (with 66 Credit Hours Course work)
MS Computer Science: Four years BS (CS), MCS, M. Sc. (CS)
Information Technology: Four years BS (IT)/BS (SE), MIT, M. Sc. (CS)
Applicants possessing minimum four years B.Sc. (H) Agric./Animal
Husbandry/DVM (HEC recognized ) degree in the relevant field of study with
M.Sc. (H) minimum CGPA of 2.50/4.00 (under semester system) or 2nd division with 56%
marks under Annual System from HEC recognized Universities/Institutes..

General Instruction

1. Migration Certificate must be submitted within one month after admission.

2. The employees of the government/other agencies qualified for admission to the degree of
PhD at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar shall have to produce NOC at the time of
admission. After provisional admission, it would be obligatory for the parent department
to grant Study Leave or extend the leave in favor of the scholar within one semester
(before start of examination); otherwise, provisional admission of the scholar shall stand
cancelled and no separate notification shall be issued.
3. Students awaiting results or without valid degree on closing date shall not be eligible for
admission.
