ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

The candidates who have passed their Part-I of FA/FSc/ICS or equivalent qualifications with at least 2nd

division and age not more than 24 years on closing date are eligible to apply for provisional admission.
(NOTE: No age limit for Self-Support Programs). The provisional admission shall be confirmed after the
declaration of the intermediate results.
 At least 45% marks are required in the FA/FSc/ICS/Equivalent to secure admission.
 For BS Computer Science (CS) and Information Technology (IT) admission, at least 50% marks are required
in Part-I of FSc (Pre-medical & Pre-Engineering)/ICS/DAE/Equivalent.
BS/  After securing admission, if a student fails full exam or any subject of FA/FSc/ICS/Equivalent exam
BBA/ after declaration of intermediate Part-II results, the admission shall be cancelled.
BFA  In case of late session, 2% marks shall be deducted from final merit for each late academic session. No
session preference for Self-Support Programs.

 In case of “O”, “A” level education or foreign certificate, a Marks Equivalence Certificate (MEC) from Inter
Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) shall be required.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For Admission in Fine Arts (Painting; & Textile Design), Qualifying Departmental
Test is mandatory and departmental admission drawing test will be held on 17-August-2023 (09:00am).

 A person holding BA/B.Sc./ADP/B.Com (minimum of 14-years of education) or its equivalent passed with
minimum 45% marks or earned CGPA 2.00/4.00 may apply for admission. Candidate must have studied
relevant elective subject(s) of 200 marks. In case of admission in BS Mathematics, Mathematics A & B of
400 marks shall be required.
 The students must have studied the major subject in B.A /ADP/B.Sc. level (in which she is seeking
Sem admission).
V  Any candidate who has attained the age more than 26 years (NOTE: No age limit for Self-Support
Programs) on the last date fixed for the receipt of application for admission shall not be eligible for
admission in Lateral Entry in 5th Semester of BS Programs.
 Candidates must submit an equivalence certificate before the closing date duly issued by the
equivalence committee of GCWUS. Application form of degree equivalence are available at Office of

 The candidates having BS/BBA/MA/MSc/M.Com or Equivalent (16 years of education in any academic field) are
eligible to apply for admission in B.Ed. (1.5 year) Program.
 For Semester System Education, minimum CGPA 2.50/4.00 in terminal degree.
B.Ed.
 In case where total CGPA => 5.00, University shall calculate the obtained CGPA as per HEC Criteria.

 For annual system education, at least 2nd Division in terminal degree.
Year  For semester system education, where CGPA not mentioned on the terminal degree, 60% marks are

 In Case, where both CGPA & Percentage of marks mentioned on the transcript, CGPA shall be preferred.

 The candidates having BS/BBA/MA/MSc/MBA/M.Com/ or Equivalent (16 years of education in relevant

subjects) are eligible to apply for admission in MS Programs.
 The minimum required marks/ grades for admission in MS will be as follows:
 For Semester System Education, minimum CGPA 2.50/4.00 in terminal degree.
 In case where total CGPA => 5.00, University shall calculate the obtained CGPA as per HEC Criteria.
 For Annual System Education, at least 2nd Division in terminal degree.
MS  For Semester System Education where CGPA not mentioned on the terminal degree, 60 % marks are
required.
 In case, where both CGPA & percentage of marks mentioned on the transcript, CGPA shall be
preferred.
 Candidate shall have to secure at least cumulative 50% marks in the University Entry Test and 50%

 The candidates having MS/MPhil/Equivalent (18 years of education in relevant subjects) are
eligible to apply for admission in PhD Programs.
 The minimum required marks/ grades for admission in MS/MPhil will be as follows:
 For Semester System Education, minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 in terminal degree.
 In case where total CGPA => 5.00, University shall calculate the obtained CGPA as per HEC
Criteria.
 For Annual System Education, at least 1st Division in terminal degree.
 For Semester System Education where CGPA not mentioned on the terminal degree, 70%
marks are required.
PhD  In case, where both CGPA & percentage of marks mentioned on the transcript, CGPA shall be
preferred.
 Candidate shall have to secure at least cumulative 60% marks in the University Entry Test and
50% marks in the Interview to be eligible for admission.
 All Candidates must submit “A Statement of Purpose” (Brief Synopsis) which must include:
i. Title of the potential research proposal; ii. Clear articulation of the current understanding of
the intended field and ideas for potential research; iii. Explanation of the intended impact of
the proposed research; iv. The prospective candidates shall demonstrate passion and
