ACTIVITY TITLE: Strong Adjectives

AIM OF THE ACTIVITY: Boost and improve students knowledge on extreme adjectives
ESTIMATED DURATION: 55 minutes session
MATERIALS NEEDED: Copies of the attached documents for students and projector
ATTACHED DOCUMENTS: Activities worksheets and answer sheets for the teacher.
SUGGESTED LEVEL: B2

PROCEDURE
!
1.- PROJECTING PICTURES A ( 10 mins.)
Teacher projects a picture and the class tries to guess what the best adjective to describe the situation could
be.

2.- SHEET 1 (20 min)
In pairs, students try to complete the sheet for 5 minutes. After that, students gather in groups of four for
another 5 minutes, Students are encouraged to write as many adjectives as they are able to as long as they
are correct. Then groups put answers in common under teacher surveillance and corrections.

3.- GUESS THE ADJECTIVE-1 (20 min)
A member of the team in the groups of four reads out the sentence without saying the adjective underlined. The
resto of the members of the team have to try to guess the adjective missing. They take turns to do that and
the teacher keeps the board completed in SHEET 1 so that students can have some help.

4.- CORRECTING MISTAKES -2 (15 min)
Once they have finished completing the sentences with the adjectives, all groups put answers in common and
explain why they have chosen their options. Teacher offers help explaining what the best option is if necessary.
