ENGLISH : PRIMARY SCHOOL (INDIVIDUAL)

Students need to :
1. choose five most favorite story books / novels (either printed or non-
printed )

2. provide a brief synopsis of each book and submit it to the jury


before the competition begins.

3.Students will be given question related to the materials read such as


authors, characters, values, students’ opinions on the reading
materials and questions to test their general knowledge.

a. The main character is an important element in a story .Based on the
book you have read, name two main characters of the story.Choose
a main character and briefly describe the 3 dominant characteristics
of the main character.

b. Moral values are essential to human life. Based on the book you
have read, briefly describe 3 moral values emphasized by the author.

c. Talk about a lesson/lessons that you have learnt from the book you
read. Does this book help you to excel in your study? Describe briefly.

2. Compulsory
'The emergence of electronic books (e- books) is killing physical books’.
In your opinion, are physical books still relevant compared to e-books
as the internet is easily available everywhere and the cost of producing
e-books is cheaper. As a student, what would you choose? ; e-books,
or physical books? Why?

character traits that can help you improve the leadership qualities
within you.
