The Allegory of the Cave is found in Book VII of The Republic by Plato. In which the Greek
philosopher envisioned the ideal society by examing concept like justice, truth, and beauty. In the
Allegory, There's a group of prisoners have been confined in the Cave sincebirth. With no
knowledge of the outside world. They are chained, facing the wall and unable to turn their heads
while a fire behind them that gives off a faint light that people occasionally pass by the fire.
These people carrying figures like animals and other objects that cast the shadows on the
wall. And the prisoners name and classify these illusions believing they're perceiving actual
entities And suddenly one prisoner is freed and brought outside for the first time. The sunlight
hurt his eyes and he finds the new environment disorienting. And When he told that the things
around him are real while the shadows were mere reflections he cannot believe it.The shadows
appeared much clear to him But gradually his eyes adjust until he can look at the reflections in
the water at object directly and finally at the sun.Whose light is the ultimate source of everything
he had seen. And the prisoner returns to the Cave to share his Discovery but he is no longer
used to the darkness and has a hard time seeing the shadows on the wall and the other
prisoners thinks that his journey is made him stupid and blind. He violently resist any attempt to
free them but he waw failed . In this Plato introduces this passage as an analogy of what it's like
to be a philosopher trying to educate the public. The ‘Allegory Of The Cave’ is a theory put
forward by Plato, concerning human perception. Plato claimed that knowledge gained through
the senses is no more than opinion and that, in order to have re

In the Allegory of the Cave, I learned that we are blinded by what we are only allowed to see.
This mean that not everything we see is true. Cause some of them has a lies behind it. We are
so occupied into day’s society that we can’t see what truly is right and wrong. Today there is the
media, military, government, school and so many other things that keep us occupied from the
truth. Just like in the social media, The people nowadays always use social media and every
articles that they see. they believe it without knowing what is the real thing. So in our daily life
when we our given information through media, religion or people`s word of mouth that don’t
believe it right away.We should make our own research first before we believe them. And make
our own belief system. That we are individuals that has different perpectives in life. And also
that we should not focus on one philosophy, one religion or one way of life , We should mix
everything that work for us. As being person that has a happy lifestyle and being person we can
be. And we should be aware of whats truly happening in our society. There is a saying that the
Education in our life is in our hand not only the education our school and books but the
education of us being a person. That keeping our all happiness in our hands and making sure
that our life is stress-free and making sure that we are in charge in our life.

According to Plato, uneducated people are like prisoners in a cave. In his view, images of things
they see in the world are just shadows of reality. The real image is in the 'World of Ideas'.
According to his thesis, the concepts of things have been in the mind of man since birth. The
knowledge gained can be an insight into a new or developing skill. Personal interest in learning.
And learning is the most important thing. One that we feels and needs to learn in true humility, a
quality that a we seeks. We should not shy about asking questions and trying new experiences.
Also, one who is knowledgeable understands that we has to deal with those who are not in our
"comfort zone". When one employs our knowledge and applies the experience,
The point of this is to gain a broad understanding so that people can better understand the
importance of life.
