Agnes Monica Muljoto or known as Agnesmo is a famous isnger and artist. She is the
last child of two children from Ricky Suprapto and Jenny Siswono. Agnes has a brother named
Steve Muljoto which also becomes her manager. Agnes completed her primary education in
elementary of Tarakanita Jakarta, Junior High School Pelita Harapan, senior high and University
of Pelita Harapan. However, Agnes did not graduate in University of Pelita Harapan because she
stopped and continued her education at Oregon University (USO) majoring Political Science.
Agnes Monica began her career in entertainment world as a young singer at the age of 6
years. Since she was young singer, Agnes had released three albums, namely The Meow, Yes!!
And Bala Bala. She became the most popular singer in the 1990s. Besides singing, she widens
her careers in presenting. She became a presenter on several telelvision children show. Agnes
started acting when she was a teenager. Her role in the soap opera of Pernikahan Dini (2001)
made her became more famous.
Althugh she had became a famaous atrist, she still continued her career as a singer. Agnes
released her first adult album in 2003, entitles”And the Story Goes”. The album was re-
popularized her name in the music industry. After being success in Indonesia, Agnes tried to
broaden her career in the international arena. She was involved in Asian drama series entitled
“The Hospital and Romance in the White House” in Taiwan on his album entitled ”whaddup”
Agnes managed to reach success because of her achievements in entertainment world.
Her achievements are awarded two years in a row (2008 and 2009) at the Asian Song Festival in
Seoul, South Korea, becoming a master of ceremony (mc) on the red carpet on American Music
Awards 2010 in Los Angeles, Nine Music Award Indonesian, eight Panasonic Award and four
MTV Indonesian Awards. Because of her achievements, she was once believed to be the anti-
drug ambassador of Asia and the ambassador of MTV EXIT in combating human trafficking.

complained about his feathers. He thought they were ugly. He was jealous with his friend,
Mr. Green Bird. "I want to have beautiful feathers like Mr. Green Bird. His feathers are not
brown like mine. They are very beautiful," said Mr. Brown Bird to his wife.
"Honey, you have to be grateful with your feathers. With feathers like these,
humans are not interested in us. So, they will not hunt for us," said Mrs. Brown Bird. Mr.
Brown Bird then went to the God of Jungle. "I want to have beautiful feathers like Mr.
Green Bird's feathers,” said Mr. Brown Bird. "Don't worry. I can make your wish come

confused." The God of Jungle was upset. "Choose now!" Mr. Brown Bird then looks up to
the sky. He had an idea. "Aha! I know which color to choose. I don't want one color of my
feathers. I want many colors. I want my feathers to be colorful like the rainbow in the sky."
Not longer after that, Mr. Brown Bird's feathers were colorful.
When he went home, his wife did not recognize him. "Honey, it's me. I'm your
husband." "No, my husband is not like you! His feathers are brown!" said Mrs. brown Bird.
Mr. Brown Bird tried very hard to convince his wife that he was really her husband. "You
are very stupid, my husband. With color like these, humans will
hunt for you. What if they also take our children? Now, please go away! Our lives are in
danger if you are still here," said Mrs. Brown Bird. She was crying. Mr. Brown Bird was
very sad. He thought he just made a very big mistake. He then left his house. His name then
changed into Cendrawasih. It meant a bird of paradise.

Hay fever can occur all year round but it is traditionally worse in the spring months when the
pollen count in the air is high. Hay fever is a common name for allergic rhinitis – meaning
an allergy in the nose. The allergic reaction causes the nasal passages to become inflamed
and produce more mucous. Some of the common symptoms are : sneezing; runny or stuffy
nose; itchy ears ,nose and throat; red, itchy and watery eyes and sometimes headaches.
Tips to try and reduce hay fever symptoms:

1: Stay indoors where possible on windy and stormy days

2: Smear Vaseline on the inside of your nose to help stop the air-borne pollen touching the lining
of your nose.
3: Splash your eyes often with cold water as this tries to flush out any pollen.
4: Try and reduce contact with known allergens. For example –pet fur, flowers, dust etc.
5: Anti-histamine medications in the form of tablets, nasal sprays and eye drops may help
alleviate symptoms but you need to discuss this with your doctor or pharmacist.

Geckos are small to middle size lizards. Lizards are reptiles. There are 1196 different
kinds of geckos. They live in many warm countries. Some kinds of geckos go into people's
houses. People are often happy to have them because geckos eat many insects.
Unlike most lizards, geckos have voices. A gecko sounds a little like a bird or a frog. In
some languages these lizards have names that sound like their calls, for example, both English
and Indonesian call one kind gecko (gek KO) and tokay (to- KAY). Another kind of gecko, with
a different sound, is called chicak (CHEE chak).

Geckos have no eyelids. Instead, they have a clear membrane (skin) over their eyes.
They lick the membrane clean with their tongues. Like most lizards, they can regenerate
their tail if they need to.
Many kinds of geckos can walk on walls, windows and ceilings. They can do this
because they have special toe pads. A microscope can show that each toe pad is made of
thousands of hair-like structures. Each of these structures branches into many smaller ends.

Last week, when I was driving a car, a bad thing happened on a rainy day. It happened on
Jalan Raya Bogor km 31, east Jakarta. A car was crushed by a big container car. I stopped to
find out if there were fatalities in the tragedy. Many people around the venue were looking
at two people who survived the tragedy. Unfortunetely, the driver of the car died. I saw him
 lying helpless. I couldn’t stand to see the tragedy because the car was wrecked. This
accident made me afraid of driving at high speed.

 A long time ago, there was a farmer. He had a small farm. One day he found that a wall which
he had built on previous days was getting knocked down. The farmer did not know who or what
made it. Because he felt tired of this happening the farmer decided to catch who should be
responsible.

One evening, while the farmer was in guard he heard something strange near that wall, then he
ran to find out who or what it was. It was surprising him because there were three star maidens
there. When they saw the farmer was approaching, they tried to escape. Two of the star maidens
could run and escape but one of them was left behind.

The farmer then caught the star maiden. She was beautiful and soon the farmer felt in love with
her. Because he was afraid that the star maiden would run away, the farmer hid her magical
wings so she could not fly anymore. the farmer and the star maiden got married.

Time went by they live together and got a beautiful baby boy. They lived happily for a long
time, until one day, the star maiden found her magical wings near their house. She wore her
wings back and flew with her son next to her. The farmer was alone and heartbroken.

The gods saw the tears of the farmer. They felt pity of him so they decided to build a bridge of
different colors for him to climb to the sky and see his son and wife.

My family likes spending time by the sea very much. When we had a holiday last year, we went
to a place at the seaside and borrowed a boat from one of our friends. Then we sailed and fished
in the sea all day. We also had races against other boats.

When the sea was rough, we sailed on a small lake near the sea instead.There were a lot of sharp
rocks, and the water was shallow, so we must be careful because we did not want to damage our
friend’s boat.

There were not many fish in the lake, but we caught a lot when we sailed to the sea. The fish
were not very big, but they tasted very good. We sailed to the land at lunch time, collected pieces
of dry wood and fried or grilled our fish at the beach. All of us enjoyed our meals. It was the
