Cell Phones (or) mobile phones are presently a fundamental piece of current media
communications.

In excess of 200 nations are assessed to utilize cell phones. There are roughly 4.6 billion cell

Effect of expanded use of cell phones on the wellbeing among youth i.e individuals between

MOBILE USE AMONG INDIANS:

COMPARISION WITH OTHER COMMUNICATION MEDIA

In 2012 , in India there were 929.37 million mobile phone users , 31.53 million
landline users and 116.5 telivision users.

More than half of India’s population is under 25 years and is at the forefront of
Mobile Phone revolution.

• Medical Researchers are concerned about the possible health risks, even small ones as
a result of exposure to radio frequency and microwave electromagnetic fields have
been expressed since the introduction of mobile phones.
• HYPOTHESIS

Abuse of mobile phones lead to eye problems.


• Sleep disturbances. Cell phone addiction has been linked to an increase in sleep
disorders and fatigue in users.
• Over usage of mobile phones is also a cause of depression and anxiety.
• Instead of making us more connected, our smartphones could be making us more
isolated.
• Smartphone use is also likely to make us more selfish, and less likely to engage in
‘pro social’ behavior
• Aside from the injuries directly caused by your phone a cellphone addiction can
increase your risk of indirect injuries, like from a nasty fall or car crash!

Research Objectives:
The fundamental reason for existing is to decide the effect of expanded use of cell phones on
the strength of the adolescent.

The second design is to recognize the variables that add to the expanded utilization of cell
phones among youth.

The third reason for existing is to quantify the mindfulness and responsiveness about the
expanded utilization of cell phones and its hurtful impacts among youth.

happened.

100 people of different age groups between 15-25 years i.e. youth

Study Area:
Bannerghatta , Bangalore.

Analysis of the data

• v Number of years of using mobile phones
• v Duration of Mobile phone usage
• v Number of Health problems faced by individual who are using mobile phones

Proposed Results:

The aim of this research is to find out the effect that usage of mobile phones is
causing in youth by collecting the data from about 100 people in and around
bannerghatta.
The research helps us to find out what health issues people face as when using the
mobile phones excessively.
The impact that mobile phone usage brings in the youth . The extensive usage of the device
and the health damages that it causes by collecting data by various methods such as sampling.
