AU-PAIR

To work as an Au-Pair in Austria a residence permit „Aufenthaltsbewilligung Sonderfälle


unselbstständiger Erwerbstätigkeit“ is required.

For the application for residence permit the following steps are recommended:

1. Book appointment at the website of the Austrian Embassy in Manila (residence permit)
2. The following documents must be added to the fully filled in and signed application form:

Documents of applicant:

 Valid passport with copies of all pages


 Birth certificate, (PSA copy, authenticated by DFA, legalized by Austrian Embassy)*
 1 recent photo according to ICAO regulations
 NBI clearance*
 Proof of a comprehensive health and accident insurance for Austria
(Krankenversicherungsschutz)
 Au-Pair contract legalized by the Philippine Embassy in Vienna

Philippine documents need a diplomatic legalization to be accepted by Austrian authorities

*Consular fee for the legalization of documents is EUR 80,00 payable in Philippine Pesos in cash at the
time of application

Documents of the employer:

 Proof of accommodation (rental contract, land certificate etc.)


 Proof of income for the last 3 months
 Proof of residence (Meldezettel)
 Anzeigenbestätigung from the Austrian Labour Authority (AMS), please visit following website

 Copy of passport
