In accordance with the Circular issued by the Chandigarh Administration,

vide No. State Mourning –HIII(4)-2019 /12679 dated 25.08.2019, as a mark of
respect to Late Shri Arun Jaitley, Former Union Minister of Finance, Government
of India, who expired on 24.08.2019, one day state mourning will be observed
throughout the Union Territory, Chandigarh, on 26.08.2019. During the State
Mourning on 26.08.2019, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast and there
will be no official entertainment on the day.

In view of the above, all concerned are requested to observe the State
Mourning in Panjab University Campus also and no official
entertainments/celebration be held today.
