Global Business Speaks English

In the modern era like now, English is now the global language of business.
More and more multinational companies are mandating English as the common
corporate language to facilitate communication and performance across geographically
diverse functions and business endeavors. Adopting a common mode of speech isn’t
just a good idea, it’s a must, even for an American company with operations overseas,
for instance, or a French company focused on domestic customers.
From the text it can be concluded that there is no communication due to the
difference in a language. Language change was also made by Hiroshi Mikitani, CEO of
Rakuten - the largest online market in Japan, Mikitani approved the plan for employees
not in Japanese but in English because the company's goal is to become an internet
number service company in the world, and Mikitani believes it is a new policy - which
will affect around 7,100 Japanese employees - it's very important to achieve that goal,
especially since expansion plans are concentrated outside of Japan.
Many might feel disadvantaged if their English is not as good as the others,
team dynamics and performance can suffer, and national pride can get in the way. But
to survive and thrive in the global economy, companies must overcome language
barriers - and English will always be a common foundation, so as to achieve company
goals. Through language can also reach other people who certainly have the same
vision for the company.
