PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Identifying Information

Project Title: “War On Waste”

Project Coordinator: SPG Officers

Project Location: This School Campus/Premises

Beneficiaries: All pupils

Date of Implementation: August 13, 2019

Period Coverage: School Year 2019 – 2020

II. Rationale

As garbage/trash/waste became one of the major problem in the


community, the Malihud ES – thru the effort of the SSG Officers, plans and
implements “War On Waste” to lessen the impact of improper waste disposal
by fostering practices in waste segregation and waste management.

The SPG aims to:


1. 0 (zero) visibility of Non-Biodegradable Waste Materials;
2. Obtaining Organic Fertilizer from Biodegradable Waste Materials;
3. Obtaining products from Recyclable Waste Materials.

The SPG Officers envision that by promoting these practices in classroom


setting, pupils may adapt the same practices in their home and in their
community.

III. Project Description

This project will be materialized with the help and support of every
parents, officers, teachers, pupils and the school head.
How it works?
Each classroom will be provided with three trash bin/can with a label
(Biodegradable, Non-Biodegradable, Recyclable) to promote waste
segregation.
Every afternoon, the assembled team of SPG will check and collect the
trash bin/can, and a point will be given.
1. Non-Biodegradable will be collected and transferred to MRF.
2. Biodegradable will be collected and transferred to a compost pit.
3. Recyclable will be collected and transferred to a SPG Project
committee.
Every end of the month, the SPG will count the collected points and rank
every classroom from the Best Implementer and so on.

Note: This is not democracy. This is US, IN ACTION……

IV. Budget Requirement and Source of Fund

V. Project Outcome

At the end of the school year, these are to be evaluated:


1. 0 (zero) visibility of Non-Biodegradable Waste Materials
2. Organic Fertilizers obtained from Biodegradable Waste Materials
3. Products obtained from Recyclable Waste Materials
