    To import presets, right click on "Presets" and select import presets. To apply a luma fade transition, overlay two video clips ensuring one is above the other and select a preset to drop on the top layer. To change the transition duration, select the top layer and adjust the last keyframe in the effects panel. For best results with luma fade transitions, use similarly exposed footage and toggle the "Invert gradient" setting depending on if the footage is bright or dark.

    How to import presets

    Right click on “Presets” – import presets

    How to apply luma fade transitions


    Your footage must be one above another, otherwise transitions won’t work (luma fade transitions
    require footage to overlay)

    1. Cut your second video to desired size (I would suggest to make at least 1:10 length of the top
    layer)

    2. Select desired preset and drop it on selected layer. That’s all, transition is ready!
    How to change transition duration
    Select top layer and go to the effects panel. Simply move last keyframe to adjust transition duration.

    How to get best visual results with luma fade

    1. Use footage with the same exposure etc. (bright shots with bright, dark with dark, like you’ve
    seen in my examples)

    2. Try switching “Invert gradient” to get best results with your footage. With dark footage I use
    “Invert gradient”, but with bright one “Invert gradient” is off
