CROSS CHRONICLE

Welcome back to school! We have had a great start.

The children are rapidly making new friends and
adjusting nicely to school routines. This is a fantastic
group of students.

Please send a healthy snack for your child. Our morning

snack time will be around 8:40. Snacks containing peanuts will be
allowed in designated areas.

Our lunch time is 11:55–12:25. You may pay for lunch online or send
money with your child in an envelope labeled with your child’s name
and the amount of money for lunch on the envelope. The cafeteria
manager will not accept checks. You are welcome to have lunch with
your child. Please meet us in the cafeteria.

Each week school papers and graded work will be sent home in a
special folder called the Bryker Woods Monday Communication
Folder. Please remove the papers, place any paperwork that needs to
be signed and returned in the “Right Back to School” section, sign
the back of the “Monday” folder, and remind your student to return
the folder to the Monday Folder box.

Class assignments and “anchors of support” papers are kept in your

child’s Student Binder. In addition, homework assignments and
occasionally special project assignments will be sent home in your
child’s binder. The purpose of homework is to practice skills, to develop
study habits, study for tests, and if necessary, to finish incomplete
work. Please review your child’s binder as you discuss the many things
your child did in school and help your child remember to bring the
binder to school every day. Thank you very much for your assistance.

will help your child manage school papers and provide you with a
snapshot of your child’s day. Additional information may be found on
