Statement:

Our teacher told us to capture some photos that we consider as an art. As I walking around the
campus I spotted a Garden then I immediately go there and search for some flowers. I spotted a
beautiful one then i captured it. For me flower is a great subject in comes to photography so this
picture caught my eyes so I didn’t hesitate to capture it.

About the Image:

As I walking around the campus I saw garden then Immediately go there then I spotted this
flower. I took some several shot then I adjust my knees so I can spot some good angle then that’s it. I
search for the more precise picture in my gallery then this picture below is the one that I picked.

Critique:

“Beauty in Garbage”
Dear Ralf,
The first word that comes through my mind right after I saw this picture was “treasure”. You
took a photo that is common in our environment, something that you can see everywhere. You
entitled this picture “Beauty in Garbage”, it is ironic because literally you can’t see beauty in Garbage
because garbage is dirty and nasty that you don’t even want to touch it. Ironically “ Garbage” is not the
thing that comes out of your mind when you hear the word “Beauty”.

Now, in the way the picture was taken, I think it was too bright and it will be more precise if the
picture were little bit gloomy and background is also little bit more blurry. I am little bit concern
about the girl behind, I think it ruins the scenery and I think it will be more precise if the girl was not
there. But overall the picture was meaningful, you can make an idea about making something out of it
and also it can be called an art.

My suggestion is you can make the picture near perfect if you only wait for the girl to leave so
you can get a clear background and even bring up the subject more. So I hope that my suggestions
help you to improve and also make you more inspired to capture some more so you called an art.
