CHAPTER ONE
WHO IS THE HOLY
SPIRIT?

I've heard so many sermons that are so scary when it

comes to the topic of the Holy Spirit. One preached that
the Holy Ghost is only God in motion. By this it means
that the Holy Ghost is just God doing something sweet and
powerful. Another said the Holy Ghost is a wind; an
unseen force that move when the power of God is released.
Another said that the Holy Ghost is just another
manifestation of Jesus Christ. All these statements are
hilarious and out of the truth of scripture. There is no way
to know or understand the Holy Ghost outside the
revelations in the scripture concerning Him. What you
know about the Holy Ghost determines what you expect
and experience from Him.
4

The Holy Spirit is God. He is a person. He has a

personality. He has His own soul, spirit and body outside
that of the Father and Son. The Holy Ghost is not Jesus
neither is He The Father. Just like the Father is God, the
Son is God, and so is the Holy Ghost. We have three
divine Persons in the Godhead. The first is the Father, the
second is the Word, and the third is the Holy Ghost. You
may be surprise that I didn't use the name Jehovah for the
Father. This is because the three divine Persons in the
Godhead or Trinity are equally Jehovah. Let me reveal a
page from my book "The Three In God".
I love Genesis. It does not just reveal the creation of all
things, it also reveal more about God. The very first
occurrence of the word God in Genesis gives us a great
revelation about Christ's divinity.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the
earth.
—Genesis 1: 1 (KJV)
The original translation of the verse which is in Hebrew
uses a plural noun instead of singular. The word for God is
Elohim:
5

‫ אֱ הִים‬- Elohim - plural of ַּ‫ ;אֱלוֹה‬gods in the ordinary sense;

but specifically used (in the plural) of the supreme God.
God in the verse is in plural and not singular referring to
more than one God. The word Elohim is the plural of the
word Eloah: ַּ‫ אֱלוֹה‬ʼĕlôwahh (elo'ah)- a deity or the Deity;
God. This word is the singular of Elohim. The word
Elohim is from the word El meaning "Almighty". Elohim
then means Eternal Creators (Often written as Jehovah
Elohim). Take note, creators and not creator. The verse
in the ordinary sense should read "In the beginning GODS
created the heavens and the earth"
You see then that in the very first occurrence of God in
scripture is not singular but plural. That shows that there is
not one divine being called God, but more than one;
Eternal Creators. God reveal more of this in verse 26.
And God said, Let US make man in OUR image,
after OUR likeness
—Genesis 1: 26a (KJV)
God wasn't taking to the Angels. Angels are not God's
image! There are five classes of Angels in scripture but
there is no place that ever name any as possessing God's
image. Though there are records of Archangels having the
6

form of a man, yet they lack the very image of man and
God. What few of their kind have is just the likeness. This
is what make them look like men when they are on Earth.
If you look at the verse you'll see that God made man in
His image and likeness. This is what many are ignorant of.
There is a significant difference between image and
likeness.
The Hebrew word for image there is ‫ צֶלֶם‬- tselem meaning
resemblance; a representative figure. This does not
necessarily refer to outward looks. It refers to the
resemblance of qualities and nature. God loves, hate, cry,
have passion etc. Angels don't have these. In fact our life is
a mystery to them. If they possess any of this qualities, it is
in a very limited measure.
Unlike image that refers to qualities and nature, likeness is
from the Hebrew word ‫ דְּמוּת‬demûwth - resemblance;
concretely, model, shape; adverbially, like; fashion,
likeness, manner, similitude. Likeness also means
resemblance. But what kind of resemblance? Outward
looks only! Some Angels may possess this but they ain't
God's image. Not even the unbelievers possess it. When
Adam sinned, he lost the image (nature) of God and only
retained His (God) likeness (outward looks). The nature of
7

God was regained by Christ and given to every believer.

This is why Paul said:
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate
to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might
be the firstborn among many brethren.
(If you want to know more about this subject I'll advice
you read my book The Three In God".)

THE HOLY SPIRIT CALLED JEHOVAH

Like I said before, the Holy Ghost is also God. He is even
referred to as Jehovah in scripture, though many don't see
that. Look at this verse:
So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I
went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the
hand of the LORD was strong upon me.
—Ezekiel 3: 14 (KJV)
The word Hebrew word for LORD in the verse is
"JEHOVAH" (that's why it's capitalized all through) and in
that passage we see the Holy Spirit referred to as Jehovah.
8

The actual translation is not the spirit (in small letter), it is

The Spirit. The New King James Version corrects this:
"So the Spirit lifted me up hand took me away, and I
went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the
hand of the Lord was strong upon me."
Ezekiel 3:12‭-‬14 NKJV
Who lifted up Elijah? - The Spirit. Not just that, The Spirit
was also holding him firmly because He is Jehovah the
Spirit. Some people think that the Spirit that took up
Ezekiel is not the Jehovah (Lord) whose hand was on him.
Some even think that the hand of the LORD that was upon
Ezekiel does not refer to God holding him. But I love the
New Living Translation:
"The Spirit lifted me up and took me away. I went in
bitterness and turmoil, but the Lord ’s hold on me was
strong."
Ezekiel 3:14 NLT
I don't need to explain that to you. The Spirit lifted him up,
and the hand of Jehovah the Spirit held me strong. When
you understand the Holy Ghost this way, you'll fellowship
more with understanding. He is Jehovah. He is Lord. He is
9

God. He has His hands on you and thus, no evil can come
near you. Ezekiel in the verse was bittered over the sins of
the Jews but upon that, He was secured in the hand of
Jehovah The Spirit. Never bother about what you see or
feel today. Be it sudden evil, threats, heartbreak, or even
temptation to defile your way. Just rest and believe that
God the Spirit got your back, and the more you fellowship
with Him, the deeper you rest in His arms. Praise God!

THE SPIRIT OF GOD!

Whenever you see any verse in the Bible where it is
written "The Spirit Of God", then know that it refers to the
Holy Ghost. The literal meaning of that name is "The
Spirit in God" or "God the Spirit". Spirit in God does not
mean the Spirit that is inside the Father or the Son. It does
not mean the Spirit of Jesus or the Father. You must
understand that God is a position, and three People are in
that position.
The word God is English. It is used to translate many
Jehovah titles and names in the Bible. For instance God is
used for the Hebrew word Elohim, it is still used for the
10

Hebrew word "Elyown”. The two words have different

meanings but are still represented with the same word
"God". Thus in the Bible, the meaning of the word God
depends on its original language and transliteration. Thus
God in a verse can mean one but different in another. But
one thing is sure, whatever meaning it may be, it is always
in accordance with God's supremacy and divinity.
The word in English means "a supreme and sovereign
being or deity". It is more of a position and title than a
name. The Bible have rendered God's name to be mainly
Jehovah which means "The self-existing one; the
immutable one; The one who was, and is, and who is to
come." In scripture we'll discover that God's names or title
is always associated to His relationship or deed to His
people.
Thus when the Bible call the the Holy Ghost "The Spirit
Of God" it really mean God The Spirit or The Spirit in
God. In other words, it means that the third person in the
Godhead or Trinity is "The Spirit". Spirit in the old
testament is ‫רוּח‬
ַ - rûwach and in the New Testament
πνεῦμα- pneûma and they both mean "wind or breathe".
You might wonder why the third person of the Trinity will
be address this way, let me explain. He is call The Spirit
11

because of His peculiar attribute of leading and directing

and also ordaining God's people for effective work, and
also because He is like a wind going through the earth
establishing and manifesting the will and plans of the
Godhead. Just like you don't see the wind but it's
everywhere, this Third Person of the Trinity is not seen but
He is everywhere actualizing the will and purpose of the
Godhead. This is why Genesis reveals:
And the earth was without form, and void; and
darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit
of God moved upon the face of the waters.
—Genesis 1: 2 (KJV)
In the chaotic and destroyed earth through God's
judgement on Lucifer's sin and rebellion as well as that of
the pre-adamites, we see the Holy Ghost in motion
brooding over the chaotic earth. What was He doing? He
was bringing into reality the plans and purpose of the
Godhead in recreating the Earth. When the Father (head of
the Trinity) said "let there be light", He (The Spirit) made
it a reality. Like I said before, He is assumed as a wind but
He's not. He is a person. That's why Jesus said to
Nicodemus:
12

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest

the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the
Spirit.
—John 3: 8 (KJV)
It might be hard to understand the verse in the King James
Version, but look at this:
"The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its
sound, but you do not know where it is coming from
and where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born
of the Spirit."
JOHN 3:8 AMP
You see that? The Holy Ghost here is reveal in an analogy
of a wind. But as I said before, He is not a wind. You
remember Pentecost? I love the record of Luke the writer
of Acts of the Apostle:
"On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the
disciples were gathered in one place. Suddenly they
heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into
the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of
the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could
13

bear! Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before

their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that
engulfed each one of them. They were all filled and
equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to
speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in
languages they had never learned! —Acts 2:1‭-‬4
TPT
The Holy Ghost at this time came like a wind also. A
mighty one for that matter. It may seem here that the Holy
Ghost is a wind or is in form of a wind, but it's just His
way of manifesting. The Trinity have their peculiar way of
manifestations. That of the Holy Ghost is peculiar to a
wind. I remember when I was 17, I attended a meeting that
was for Pastor's kids. I remember the man of God teaching
on the Holy Ghost. After a fire brand teaching of over an
hour, the man of God made an altar call. I was so hungry
for that Spirit's touch. Initially I have had encounters with
the Holy Ghost but it was in ignorance. I was just there
with the crowd who were also eager for the power from on
high. As I began to pray in tongues, I felt a deep cold
water pouring on me, then I began to shake. After that
service, I became a new man, that's how I got this gift of
teaching God's word. You see, in my experience He came
14

like a cold water, but He is still the Holy Ghost. He is

moving everywhere like the wind. Glory!

CHAPTER TWO
SPIRIT IN DIFFERENT
MANIFESTATIONS
15

Talking about manifestation, the Bible reveals the

manifestations of each Person of the Trinity. Take example
from Christ revealed in the faces of the Cherubim. The
mention of the four faces of the cherubs is also a revelation
of the Lord Jesus. The face of a man speaks of His
humanity; the face of the lion speaks of His authority; the
face of the ox speaks of His sacrifice on the cross; and the
face of the eagle speaks of His deity. That's great. Let me
show you the four manifestation of the Holy Ghost.
1 Kings 19 (KJV)
¹¹ And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount
before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by,
and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and
brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the
LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an
earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
¹² And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was
not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
¹³ And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped
his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the
16

entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice

unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
Let's look at these four manifestations closely. But take
note that the first three of the manifestations were just the
force of His presence. So let's see.

Great And Strong Wind — This is the first manifestation

of the Spirit's presence. This is revealed first because it is
His commonest known attribute. He moves like the wind!
Look at this closely
"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of
a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house
where they were sitting."
Acts 2:2 NKJV
The wind was not just heard, it filled the entire house. It
was the power of the Holy Ghost in motion. By this time
the people were sitting but when this mighty wind-power
filled the room they were now standing. They were filled
with the Holy Ghost, blasting in tongues of men and of
Angels. You must understand beloved that the Holy Ghost
when in the motion of a wind sweeps into you and set your
17

soul alive. This is the same wind-power that floods the

congregation of the saints when they are in worship and
deep prayers. In this atmosphere, miracles are inevitable.
Yokes are broken, souls are set ablaze in revival, and
manifestations of different gifts of the Spirit is seen.
Let me tell you a short experience. In my first year in the
University, we had a program to train young ministers. In
the first day of the program I ministered in the power of
the Holy Ghost. After the ministration, we entered into
deep worship. I've always lay hands on people before the
manifestation of the Holy Ghost, but this time was
different. As I worshipped, I knew the power was
available. In the power of the Holy Ghost I began to call
out different section of the congregation and the Spirit will
manifest that way. If for instance I say "it's coming (the
wind of the Spirit's presence) to the right section", that's
exactly what will happen. People in that direction will
begin to fall under the anointing and manifest in different
grace. Before I knew it, the whole Church was filled with
the power. But there's something significant that happened.
We didn't really hear or perceived any phycal wind in the
place like that of Pentecost. But we definitely felt under
the power. You might not physically see or feel the wind-
power of the Holy Ghost, but you'll definitely be know it
18

when it grasp your soul. This wind-power is not the Holy

Ghost, is His power! People can see it's manifestation, but
only the believers experience it's renewing transformation.
You remember the Azuza Street Revival? It's connected to
the wind-power of the Holy Ghost
This manifestation of the Holy Ghost is connected to His
enduement. Most men that received the Spirit's enduement
can testify about this. Remember Pentecost! He choose
this way because it covers beyond a person. It covers and
fill the whole congregation; the whole building. Remember
that this wind-power in Ezekiel broke the rocks and rent
the mountain.
"And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and
strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces
the rocks before the LORD"
Before the Lord. That means that the wind was connected
to the presence of God. When He (The Spirit) moved, the
wind-power moved and everything fell on its way. No
barrier can withstand the power of the Holy Ghost. When
He comes to endue and anoint His people, not even the
entire demons in the abyss can withstand His presence.
Glory!
19

An Earthquake — This is the second manifestation of the

Holy Ghost. You might never experience Him in this way,
but that doesn't mean that it's not true. One of the key
experience of the Church after the Azuza Street Revival
was continuos shaken when ever the Church gathered. It
was so powerful some times that the whole building
seemed it will fall. This was seen many times in the life of
the early Church.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken
where they were assembled together; and they were all
filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of
God with boldness.
—Acts 4: 31 (KJV)
Wow! The place was shaken. Am sure the religionists that
troubled them were shaking in their pants when they heard
about this. What on Earth could shake the foundation of
the city if not the moving power of The Spirit. They were
all filled. The statement there means that they were refilled
because they had already received the emduement. So they
were refilled by the Holy Ghost and began to preach with
boldness. In your fellowship with the Holy Ghost, you'll
experience this soon. Just keep the passion running! There
is more about this manifestation.
20

Acts 16 (KJV)
"² And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang
praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
² And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that
the foundations of the prison were shaken: and
immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's
bands were loosed."
Paul and Silas in prison continued in their fellowship, and
when it was time for the Holy Ghost to manifest, He came
like a great earthquake. He shook the very foundation of
the prison and freed every captive. Cells were unlocked,
and chains were broken. You can experience this also.
That same power is still available today. Another great
manifestation of this earth shaking power was at the death
of Christ.
Matthew 27 (KJV)
Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice,
yielded up the ghost.
¹ And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain
from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake,
and the rocks rent;
21

² And the graves were opened; and many bodies of

the saints which slept arose,
³ And came out of the graves after his resurrection,
and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
This power even broke the graves and brought out the dead
saints. The veils of the temple were broken down
signifying the end of the partition between God and man.
No demonic chains can withstand the power of the Holy
Ghost. Praise God!

A Fire — This is another well known manifestation of the

Holy Spirit. John the Baptist himself acknowledged this:
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but
he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes
I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the
Holy Ghost, and with fire:
—Matthew 3: 11 (KJV)
Fire in scripture signifies many things. It signifies passion,
zeal, and also acceptance. Yes acceptance. God accepted
sacrifices by sending fire on them. So the fire of the Spirit
is also a mark of acceptance. Only true believers can
22

possess it. Fire also refines, pirify, and also consumes. It

also serve as light in the dark. So you see that the fire of
the Holy Ghost is necessary for the daily victorious life of
the saint. So Jesus was the one to baptize with fire, and
this came to pass on the Apostles.

Acts 2 (KJV)
³ And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as
of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave
them utterance."
The tongues of fire stood on their head signifying all the
settlement of the Holy Ghost on Earth. You know the Holy
Ghost was not yet given, people in the Old Testament were
only experience a measure of Him, but today we
experience and have His fullness. He wants to pour out His
fullness on all that will believe. If your Christian life is
cold or lukewarm, you need the fire! Are you facing all
kinds of spiritual attacks and conflicts? You need the fire!
I love Evang. Reinhardt Bonnke's book "Evangelism By
Fire". He said "A fly cannot perch on a hot stove. So also a
23

demon cannot work in the life of a burning Christian".

Nothing scares the hell out of Satan like a life saturated in
the fire of the Holy Ghost.
To be set ablaze for God, you must soak yourself in the
place of prayer and the word. To put these in one word,
you must be consistent in the place of fellowship. Spirit
filled fellowship! Let's see the last one.

A Still Small Voice — This is one manifestation of the

Holy Ghost I love so much. In fact, it is the very Person of
the Holy Ghost speaking into our spirits. So many often
mistake this. When they see the word saying "a still small
voice", they quickly conclude that the voice of the Holy
Ghost is kind of tiny that you must go extra miles to hear
Him speak. That's ridiculous. To the believer, the voice of
the Holy Spirit is louder than the entire scream of hell. The
still small voice refers to the calm clear and peaceful voice
of the Holy Ghost. When that voice spoke, Elijah heard
without hesitation. That's the same with a believer, when
He speaks, our spirit immediately concur to His voice. It is
not lousy, but it is clear enough to be heard. It is not
complicated, but it is accurate enough to be understood.
This is why Paul said:
24

Romans 8 (KJV)
¹ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God.
¹ The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that
we are the children of God.
Paul reveals the Holy Spirit's leadership as a vital evidence
of our Sonship in God. How does He lead us? - by His
words in our spirit. Some folks believe that the evidence of
God's presence is in what I feel. Individuals like that are
under the rulership of their feelings but not what they
know. Feelings are deceptive, and the Holy Ghost does not
necessarily lead us by feelings, but by that deep voice of
conviction in our spirit. He bears witness with our spirit
that we are God's sons. If you see anyone that is unsure if
he is saved or forgiven, don't jump to blame the devil. You
must understand that what took place at your new birth
was spiritual and centered around your inner man, your
flesh is still an alien to that saving grace. For you to
remain in the assurance and consciousness of your
salvation, you must be filled with the Spirit. Then will He
constantly bear witness with your spirit that you are God's
child. Jesus reveals how the leadership of the Holy Ghost
comes.
25

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest

the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the
Spirit.
—John 3: 8 (KJV)
Practically, there is no man that can sought out the starting
point of the wind or its end point. You can't tell where it
came from neither can you tell where it is going. But one
thing is sure, you will always feel it's impact. We as God's
children have similar experience with the Holy Ghost. We
can't really explain how the voice of the Spirit comes or
how it moves afterwards, but one thing is certain, we
definitely know He is the one talking. How do you know?
Well this might be funny, but you just know it. It comes
with deep conviction and certainty. It is filled with
confidence. When ever a voice is ministering in your spirit
and you feel confused, unrest, and uncertained, then doubt
its origin. God is not the author of confusion. His voice
can't become one. Many times the problem is not with the
voice, but with the hearer. You just don't know how to
channel your spirit to the voice of the Spirit. The answer is
in consciousness. And how do you stay in the Spirit's
consciousness? By remaining consistent in the fellowship
26

of the Spirit. This is not just your normal quiet time or

devotion. This is consistent communing of your spirit man
with The Holy Ghost. You allow Him to be the center of
your every thought, passion, and desires. On the street, at
home, school, office, and even in problems. Meditate on
Him and not on what is around you.
27

CHAPTER THREE
JESUS' WITNESS OF
THE FATHERS

If you are asked who was the Father of Jesus while He was
human what will be your answer? I believe you will say
God the Father or even Joseph the carpenter. But you must
under that Jesus' father wasn't just those two, Jesus Father
was the Holy Ghost. First let's look at the account of Jesus'
birth.
Luke 1 (KJV)
² And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent
from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
² To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was
Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name
was Mary.
28

² And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou
that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed
art thou among women.
² And when she saw him, she was troubled at his
saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation
this should be.
³ And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for
thou hast found favour with God.
³¹ And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
³² He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the
Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the
throne of his father David:
³³ And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;
and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
³ Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be,
seeing I know not a man?
³ And the angel answered and said unto her, The
Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the
Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy
29

thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son

of God."
I fell in love with this passage the more when I discovered
that the Holy Spirit was actually the one that fathered
Christ. Remember I told you that the Holy Ghost is the
creative agent of the Godhead; He is the one that bring
every will and plans of the Godhead into reality. Here we
see Him making the birth of Christ possible. The
fatherhood of the Holy Ghost started with Christ. He was
the begotten of the Father - The Holy Ghost. Throughout
the existence of Jesus we see the Holy Ghost taking
responsibility of everything that concerned Him. Even
while He was in the womb, we see the Holy Ghost
showering His presence over Mary (His mother) as a sign
of divine security.
Luke 1 (KJV)
³ And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill
country with haste, into a city of Juda;
And entered into the house of Zacharias, and
saluted Elisabeth.
30

¹ And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the

salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and
Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
² And she spake out with a loud voice, and said,
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb.
Wow! Did you see that? As long as Mary was carrying
Jesus, she was constantly filled with the power of the Holy
Ghost. Am very sure that even if you were to fire a
bazooka at her, there will automatically appear a bulwark
to resist such attack. She was covered. Her voice was filled
with power that when she greeted Elizabeth, the anointing
came upon her and she began to prophesy. This was to
further prove the involvement of the Holy Ghost in the
birth of Christ. Let's continue.

THE FATHER IN HEAVEN

It is true that Jesus came from Heaven, He was God in the
flesh. The Bible clearly reveals His divinity before He took
on humanity for our sake. He was equal with God (the
other two divine Persons in the Trinity), but chose to
31

become a Son of God by taking up humanity. That's why

Paul said:
"You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus
had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality
with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up
his divine privileges ; he took the humble position of a
slave and was born as a human being. When he
appeared in human form, he humbled himself in
obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a
cross."
Philippians 2:5‭-‬8 NLT
So Jesus truly became a man, and as a man He must have a
father, thus the other two divine Persons in the Trinity
became His Father ( not Fathers signifying their unity as
one). Now the first Father was in Heaven. Jesus
acknowledged His presence so many times:
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men,
him will I confess also before my Father which is in
heaven.
—Matthew 10: 32 (KJV)
32

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art

thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not
revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in
heaven.
—Matthew 16: 17 (KJV)
For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is
in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and
mother.
—Matthew 12: 50 (KJV)
The Father in Heaven was fully reverence and
acknowledged by Christ while He was on Earth. He even
taught His disciples to reverence the Father in Heaven.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father
which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
—Matthew 6: 9 (KJV)
That's not all. The Father in heaven even acknowledged
this and spoke out from Heaven to confirm the words of
the Son.
Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice
from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will
glorify it again. —John 12: 28 (KJV)
33

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my

beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
—Matthew 3: 17 (KJV)

THE FATHER IN ME
The next Father of Christ was not actually in Heaven, but
in Him. In fact Jesus talked about this Father so much
especially when it relates to His works on Earth. The
Father is the Holy Ghost. When Jesus was at the end of
His earthly ministry, He had a very powerful conversation
with His disciples:
John 14 (KJV)
If ye had known me, ye should have known my
Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and
have seen him.
Jesus here opened their understanding to the reality of the
Father. He even went to the extent of saying the Father is
seen in Him. Thinking that Jesus was referring to the
Father in Heaven Philip spoke out:
34

Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and

it sufficeth us.
Philip was now ready to behold the Father. He have heard
Christ many times talking about the Father in Heaven and
thus He (the Father in Heaven) will certainly come and
satisfy their curiosities on the Sonship of Christ.
Remember they later left Him while He was arrested, so
they no doubt believed in Him, but were having insecurity
of their lives due to the threats of the religious leaders. So
the appearing of the Father will definitely give them
confidence that they will be immune to attacks. After all,
walking with the Son of a divine being gives you a divine
protection. But look at what Jesus said:
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with
you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that
hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest
thou then, Shew us the Father?
This is funny to the canal mind. Philip is asking about the
Father but Jesus is like replying the opposite. Instead of
Christ saying the "Father is coming", He gave the most
shocking remark - "Have I been so long time with you, and
yet hast thou not known me, Philip?" It was no longer
about the Father in heaven, it was now about me. Jesus
35

revealed now that the very Person of the Father is revealed

in Him. Thus they just need to see the Father through Him
and what He does. But that's not all:
¹ Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak
not of myself: but THE FATHER THAT DWELLETH
IN ME, HE DOETH THE WORKS.
To clarify their curiosity, Jesus reveals that there is another
Father. A Father that is not really in Heaven as they
supposed, but this Father DWELLETH IN HIM. This
Father is the one working through Him. He is the one that
is really talking and doing all the works. I'm sure they
might have surprise, thus Jesus had to remind them that He
had a work to do which the Father sent Him:
But I have greater witness than that of John: for the
works which the Father hath given me to finish, the
same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the
Father hath sent me.
—John 5: 36 (KJV)
It still wasn't clear to them so He had to explain how this
works:
36

…..whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father

said unto me, so I speak.
—John 12: 50 (KJV)
This might have pricked their hearts. Does it mean that this
man constantly had to wait for a voice from heaven like
many prophets of old? Jesus is so wise, am sure He
revealed this to them:
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not
left me alone; for I do always those things that please
him.
—John 8: 29 (KJV)
By now they might have been so confused, so they
wondered "when did the Father came to be with Him
always?" Jesus by now would've chuckled and explained
His baptism:
Matthew 3 (KJV)
¹ And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up
straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were
opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God
descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
37

¹ And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my

beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
After this, Jesus then will add "SINCE THEN, THE
HOLY SPIRIT HAVE NOT GONE BACK". This doesn't
mean that the Holy Ghost was not with Christ from the
beginning, but this was when He was endued with the
Holy Ghost. The word endued means to be "clothe with".
It was after this time His ministry started and the works of
the Father accomplished. The Father in Christ was the
Holy Ghost. Anyone who rejected Him rejected the work
of Jehovah the Spirit.
If I had not done among them the works which none
other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they
both seen and hated both me and my Father.
—John 15: 24 (KJV)
Someone might wonder if they actually saw the Father, yes
they did. Remember what Jesus told Philip- "he that hath
seen me hath seen the Father". So the Father was in Christ
doing all good things. No wonder Peter said:
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
Ghost and with power: who went about doing good,
38

and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for

God was with him.
—Acts 10: 38 (KJV)
Not just with Him, but In Him. Glory!

CHAPTER FOUR:
39

YOU'VE GOT A FATHER

IN YOU!

After Christ revealed the Father in heaven and the Father

in Him to the disciples, He went on to reveal the Father
that will be in them. I don't just read this part of the book,
meditate on it. I will take the time to open your
understanding to the truth about the Father in You. Let's
see what Jesus said to Nicodemus:
"Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly
say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from
above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified],
he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of
God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be
born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s
womb a second time and be born, can he?” Jesus
answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you,
unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot
[ever] enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of
40

the flesh is flesh [the physical is merely physical], and

that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be
surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born
again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed,
renewed, sanctified].’"
JOHN 3:3‭-‬7 AMP
The new birth that Jesus talked about in the verse is that of
water and the Spirit. Many people are confused about the
born of water, but there's no need to be confused at all. It's
not talking about water baptism. Water baptism is a show
of that inner experience if new birth. Water Baptism
signifies your death, burial, and resurrection with Christ at
new birth. It is only necessary as a testimony to the world
that you are saved and a public announcement of a your
new birth. It has no effect on your eternal destiny after
death. Thus for the Bible to declare YOU MUST in the
verse, it means that nothing else can save without that.
That can't be true because Water Baptism was instituted by
John the Baptist and that's why it is often called in
scripture "The Baptism Of John".
Acts 19 (KJV)
41

¹ And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at

Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts
came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
² He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost
since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not
so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
³ And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye
baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the
baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that
they should believe on him which should come after
him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the
name of the Lord Jesus.
And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the
Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with
tongues, and prophesied.
You see, they were not saved by water baptism but by
Faith in Christ Jesus. Look at what Like states:
42

And all the people that heard him, and the publicans,
justified God, being baptized with the baptism of
John.
—Luke 7: 29 (KJV)

BORN OF WATER?
Am not saying water baptism is not important, but it is not
the grace that saved your soul. That which saves is faith in
Christ. And Faith in Christ brings about the birth of water
and Spirit. Water in the old testament is figurative to
salvation.
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the
wells of salvation.
—Isaiah 12: 3 (KJV)
Since being born again produces salvation we must clearly
understand how water applies then:
Ephesians 5 (KJV)
² That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the
washing of water by the word.
43

The word is the water that cleanse and sanctify. But it is

also the agent of the new birth:
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and
abideth for ever.
—1 Peter 1: 23 (KJV)
You were born again by the word of God. Oh yes. You
may wonder how this applies. Remember that Jesus is the
Living Word (John 1:1-3), your faith in Him comes from
that which is already written in the word. It is that faith
that the saves. Outside that which is revealed in the word,
you can't be save. Even if you were led by someone, your
pastor, a hunch, it must commemorate with the outlined
principle of God's word.
Romans 10 (KJV)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
¹ For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation.
44

So you are born of the water - the Word! It's the same
word you need to grow in your new birth:
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the
word, that ye may grow thereby:
—1 Peter 2: 2 (KJV)
It is that same word that cleanse you day by day to
perfection.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by
taking heed thereto according to thy word.
—Psalms 119: 9 (KJV)
Christ Himself revealed this:
Now ye are clean through the word which I have
spoken unto you.
—John 15: 3 (KJV).

BORN OF THE SPIRIT

Being born of the Spirit means born of the Holy Ghost.
This means the recreation of the inner man into the image
45

of God. It is an adoption into the family of God. It means

you are now God's kid and possess the life of your Father
The Spirit. His nature is now in your you and though the
outward man decays, the inward man is of a divine stuff.
That's why Paul said:
For which cause we faint not; but though our
outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed
day by day.
—2 Corinthians 4: 16 (KJV)
You see that? Our life isn't tie to our body. Once we drop
this body, we assume our full image. But what image?
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in
knowledge after the image of him that created him:
—Colossians 3: 10 (KJV)
You see that? You are renewed, recreated, and made alive
in the image of God. This is why Peter boldly said:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and
precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers
of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust.
—2 Peter 1: 4 (KJV)
46

We are not like the world at all. If you see a believer

misbehaving, it does not mean he is less a child of God. Its
because such a believer have allow the deception of the
flesh to supersede his or her inner consciousness of who he
or she is. But even with that, he or she is still loved and
counted as a child. Our birth by the Holy Ghost is very
clear in scripture.
"Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy
Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don’t be surprised
when I say, ‘You must be born again.’"
John 3:6‭-‬7 NLT
Your Father is the Holy Ghost. Praise God! He brought
you forth when you believed in Christ. When you see a
believer struggling it is because he doesn't know that he
has a Father in him. It wasn't just Christ, it preceded to us.
Your life is founded in the Holy Ghost, the earlier you get
that into your spirit, the better for your walk on Earth.
Your birth took place in the spiritual and thus your Father
must be spiritual.
"For the natural realm can only give birth to things
that are natural, but the spiritual realm gives birth to
supernatural life!"
47

John 3:6 TPT

THE FATHER WITH YOU AND IN YOU

John 14 (KJV)
¹ If ye love me, keep my commandments.
¹ And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you
another Comforter, that he may abide with you for
ever;
¹ Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be
in you.
¹ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
¹ Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more;
but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
² At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father,
and ye in me, and I in you.
Jesus promised the coming of the comforter. The word
comforter is clearly explained in the Amplified Version:
48

"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you

another Helper (Comforter, Advocate,
Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be
with you forever—"
JOHN 14:16 AMP
Jesus did not just promised them the comforter, He also
revealed who He is. He is an helper in weakness, a
comforter in the days of challenges, an intercessor in the
place of prayer, a strengthener in the days of adversity, a
counselor who guides and leads, a friend that is always
standby, and an advocate in the days of problems. Guess
what? He is does this forever. If you look at all that, you
will come to realize the Holy Ghost plays the roles of
every individual you need to succeed. From a friend to a
Father, from a father to a teacher, and a teacher to an
advocate, and many more. Jesus revealed this but He didn't
stop there. You must understand that the Holy Ghost don't
give birth to bastards. He Fathers all His kids till He bring
them into perfection. This is why Jesus said He will abide
with us forever. There's no time He's gonna leave, not even
in our darkest moment, or in our worst mistake.
Jesus told the disciples that He won't leave them
comfortless, he announced that He is going to be with
49

them soon. He wasn't talking about the rapture, He was

talking about Him coming in the Father. He was their
teacher, friend, brother, and a mentor. Now they were to
have another in place if Him. This is why He told them:
“There is so much more I would like to say to you, but
it’s more than you can grasp at this moment. But when
the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality
of every truth within you. He won’t speak on his own,
but only what he hears from the Father, and he will
reveal prophetically to you what is to come. He will
glorify me on the earth, for he will receive from me
what is mine and reveal it to you. Everything that
belongs to the Father belongs to me—that’s why I say
that the Divine Encourager will receive what is mine
and reveal it to you. Soon you won’t see me any longer,
but then, after a little while, you will see me in a new
way .” —John 16:12-15 TPT

In John 14, Jesus reveals that the Holy Ghost is with them
and will be in them soon. He was with them because Jesus
Himself being with them carried the Father in Him. But
this time, He wasn't just gonna be with them, He shall
made them is abode.
50

FATHER OR GOD?
God created everyone. He created both believers and
unbelievers. I remember a young lady asked me a very
interesting question about this subject. She wamted to
know who God is to us and the unbelievers since we all are
His creation. I saw in the lady's mood that she was trying
to battle out the answer. I asked her if she believe in the
creation of robots, she vividly claimed she does. I then told
her to imagine herself creating one and making it look like
her. I also told her to imagine having a biological son too.
Then I asked her " what is the robot to you?" She smiled
and exclaimed "my creation". I asked her plainly "if the
robot should be so good and wonderful and your son is a
vagabond, can you ever replace him with the robot?"
Again she added "never!" I then open to her that God is a
creator to the unbelievers but to us He is a Father. He sees
them as His creation but we are His sons. They look like
Him based on outward looks, but we are like Him. We are
His nature. No matter how good an unbeliever is, He can
never be drafted into the place of a worst son.
What really differentiate us from the unbelievers is that we
have a relationship with the Holy Ghost and God. A
51

relationship of Father and Son. The delight of every true

Father is to see the best in the son, this is applicable to the
Holy Ghost too. He is ready to set the world ablaze just to
make you become all that you are meant to be as a son.
But will you give Him the Chance?

THE FATHER AT WORK IN YOU

The Holy Ghost is not just with you, He is in you.
Remember the promise of Christ?
And I will ask the Father and he will give you another
Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a
friend just like me—and he will never leave you. The
world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or
know him. But you know him intimately because he
remains with you and will live inside you.
John 14:16‭-‬17 TPT
Never settle for less. I never knew that life even in the
worst season can be so peaceful until I had a true
knowledge of the Father in me. There is nothing that
scares me or my future, not because I was born this way
but because of Who is in me.
52

"But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit

with him. Don’t you realize that your body is the
temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was
given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself".
1 Corinthians 6:17‭, ‬19 NLT
Remember what John said, greater is in us. Who is in us?
It's the Father; Jehovah the Spirit. The question is what is
He doing in me? Oh boy! He is doing everything perfect
and good. Remember I showed you that the Holy Ghost is
God. Now let me show you what God the Spirit is doing in
you.

For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is

effectively at work in you, both to will and to work
[that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you
the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for
His good pleasure.
PHILIPPIANS 2:13 AMP
Oh glory to God! My spirit kicks within my soul when I
read this passage. Understanding that means there's no
place for errors or regrets. I see so many believers saying
53

foolish things about themselves. Some even go about

doing things that are unspeakable. They carry the mindset
that "Christ paid for me so I can live as I like." But that's
an insult to the One in you. He can't be in you and you
accept that flaw; that weakness. He is a perfect Father, and
He can only produce that which is perfect! Like the
passage says, He doesn't just help you do the work, He
also instigate the passion within you for the right thing.
This is only possible when you stop seeing Him as God
and start seeing Him as a Father. You need to fellowship
and commune with Him more than your earthly parents.

I've seen believers with no vision or idea of their purpose

in life. Some don't even have a clue of the future that is
awaiting them. You might be in this position, praying and
crying everyday for a purpose. But why do all that when
the Father in you is ready to not just show you, but to
accomplish it with you. You may think you are filled with
dreams and visions but know that what your Father is
cooking in you is beyond that which you dream of.
Remember this:
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and]
do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or
54

think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or

dreams], according to His power that is at work within
us
EPHESIANS 3:20 AMP (Read thrice)
You see that! He doesn't want to do what you imagine or
think of. He wants to blow your mind. Where your widest
dream stops is where His plans for you starts. Your
greatest dream is His least plan for you. You might find
this hard to believe but you can't explain the tremendous
victory of God's generals in the past outside this truth. I
believe it, you've got to do the same. He won't dump you
on the way. When you see a believer starting and failing
on the way, it is because he didn't start with the Father, or
he left the Father on the way. One thing is sure, the Father
in you won't stop on the way. He will finish His work in
you. Thank God for His word:
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath
begun a good work in you will perform it until the day
of Jesus Christ:
—Philippians 1: 6 (KJV)
When I read passages like that I feel like laughing out loud
in joy. There is no abandoned project in me. If the work
55

stops, it's never my Father's fault, it's mine. So I will trust

Him even when there is nothing to hold on to. That's the
mindset you should carry. Don't go about praying as a
beggar, you have a Father. When you come to this level
you will understand that there are prayer points you don't
need to pray again, not because they are wrong, but
because they are for beggars, but you are a son. Children
relates intimately with their earthly father, they don't seek
his pity. So trust Him and entrust all to Him. Paul
understood this that's why He said:
The confidence of my calling enables me to overcome
every difficulty without shame, for I have an intimate
revelation of this God. And my faith in him convinces
me that he is more than able to keep all that I’ve placed
in his hands safe and secure until the fullness of his
appearing.
2 Timothy 1:12 TPT
Wow! Isn't that great?
56

CHAPTER FIVE
SONS, NOT BASTARDS

People that knows me in person are not ignorant of my

slogan "am a son and not a bastard". Believe it or not,
there are belivers who live their lives as spiritual bastards.
They toil on Earth and die without any legacy or impact.
Most of them claim to set their eyes on heaven and that
57

nothing in this world matters, not even being remembered

for the impact you made on Earth. But this seems to be the
opposite of what Christ prayed for:

"My prayer is not that you take them out of the world
but that you protect them from the evil one."
John 17:15 NIV

Keep them to do what?

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they
may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and
[recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is
in heaven.
MATTHEW 5:16 AMP
So you ain't a spiritual bastard. You've got to understand
this. Yes, you really have to. As a son there are things you
must understand about yourself. Let's see them:
58

YOU HAVE THE NATURE OF YOUR

FATHER
You are like the Holy Ghost, you are is embodiment on
Earth carrying out His will and purposes. Outside you are
just flesh, but inside you are His nature. Life does not
spring from the outside to the inside but from the inside to
the outside! He dwells on your in side and thus pumps in
His life and nature into your soul and spirit day by day. So
you've got to manifest it. This is why John said:
"By living in God, love has been brought to its full
expression in us so that we may fearlessly face the day
of judgment, because all that Jesus now is, so are we in
this world."
1 John 4:17 TPT
Jesus is the same nature with the Holy Spirit, and now we
bear that same nature. That means that whatever cannot be
seen in Jesus let it not be found in you. Jesus can't live in
bitterness and misery, refuse it! He can't live a morally
depraved life, refuse it! He can't go about with the tag "mr
flaw and weakness", refuse it! Like Bishop Oyedepo
always say - "Whatever is not found in Jesus must not be
found in you!". If it's found in you, then you are acting
59

another man's nature. And actors regarded by the audience

base on the character they act. Don't let the world see you
as one of their own.
I told you before that Adam lost the image of God when he
sinned but that image is given to us today by the birth of
the Spirit (Refer to chapter one). We are God's nature,
refuse sickness, refuse fear, refuse inferiority. Let me show
you some key nature of your Father that's in you!

BORN OF LOVE
1 John 4 (KJV)
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth
God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us,
because that God sent his only begotten Son into the
world, that we might live through him.
60

You are born of God and the Bible reveals that God is
love. That's amazing! You see why you can't hate or
dislike people again? I know people can be very offensive
and provocative at times, but you must understand that you
can't hate even if you are forced to because there's no
negative hatred in your nature again. There's no bias in
you, no feeling of favouritism, or preferences in the body
of Christ. You can't even lift a finger to hurt in pains, you
can't curse. This is because you are born of love. I thought
that the words of Christ in Mathew 5 was so rigid and
unrealistic, but after understanding what it means to be
born of love, I knew that I didn't have to learn how to do
good, love my enemies, give and expect nothing back etc.
I just had to understand that they are in me and I've got to
release them to this dying world. The flesh might want to
act opposite, but I must remember that life springs from
the inside and not the outside. Paul reveals this in Romans.
"And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of
God is shed abroad in our hearts by the HOLY
GHOST which is given unto us."
Romans 5:5 KJV
That love of God in us is what we display every day. It is
the Agape love. A selfless and sacrificial love. A love that
61

goes beyond personal interests, friends, family,

relationships, even to foes and haters (if at all you have
any). It's a love that takes away selfishness. This love is
spread in our hearts by the Father in us - The Holy Ghost.
The reason we sin is because of personal interest and
selfishness, so this love takes away that interest and focus
from us to others. We can't do evil to others to please our
lustful desires, we can't bargain with sin in any way. In this
kind of love, perfection is achievable!
1 John 5 (KJV)
¹ We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth
not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and
that wicked one toucheth him not.
How can he not sin? John gave us the answer in chapter
three already:
1 John 3 (KJV)
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for
his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because
he is born of God.
¹ In this the children of God are manifest, and the
children of the devil: whosoever doeth not
62

righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not

his brother.

But what is the seed then? It's revealed in chapter four:

1 John 4 (KJV)
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth
God.

BORN WITH OVERCOMING FAITH

You have the Spirit of success in you. The overcoming
Spirit of Christ. You got this Spirit when you were born
again and you activate it by Faith. But the best news is that
the same Spirit that gives the success is the same Spirit
that fills you with Faith.
"to another [wonder-working] faith [is given] by the
same [HolySpirit...."
1 CORINTHIANS 12:9 AMP
But the fruit of the Spirit….. is faith
63

—Galatians 5: 22 (KJV)
So your Father is there to help you believe for greater
manifestation. Just keep listening to the word of God and
He will help increase your Faith through it. This kind of
faith is called the overcoming faith. It is this faith that John
referred to:
1 John 5 (KJV)
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the victory that overcometh the
world, even our faith.
You are born of the Holy Ghost; the Holy Ghost is God!
So you've got God DNA, you don't have to settle for less
anymore. The second secret to perfection is faith. Fear
causes sin, guilt, and shame. But the opposite of fear is
faith. If you can believe, you don't have to fear it anymore.
Faith kills worry. Anxiety have led many to the path of
suicide. This is because they have no hope in life and thus
no faith. Remember that hope is the father of faith. So the
Father in you will give you hope and faith to help you
overcome your fears. Hope means expectation and faith is
the assurance that you will get what you expect.
64

"Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of

things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the
evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their
reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be
experienced by the physical senses]."
HEBREWS 11:1 AMP
I love the way The Passion Translation puts it:
"Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes
the foundation needed to acquire the things we long
for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still
unseen."
Hebrews 11:1 TPT
You've got to know that you have the nature of a fighter.
This is why we are told in scripture to fight the good fight
of faith. You are fighting from victory and that means you
must raise your banner very high and scream loud enough
to the devil and the whole world that you can't give up.
There's no impossibility to what you expect. This is your
nature, you can't help it. I remember meeting a family that
had a possessed child. I went in after I was invited by a
relation of theirs. The possessed girl had put everyone in
the compound in deep fear. She manifested multiple
65

personalities and many times claimed to be an oracle of

God. She even commanded them to do some stupid
tribalistic things which were against their faith as
Christians. When I went in there, the demon in the lad
asked me "what are you doing here? This isn't your
business" I stared it in the eyes and spoke with authority "I
just can't hold it. Even if I try to mind my business, I can't
because my nature loathes your works and am here to
dismis them". That was how that child was freed. Many
times I've seen people on the road and I decided to take up
their spiritual problem as mine. I make sure I solve them.
That's our nature. We are radical overcomers. This is not
really us doing this, it's our Father in us doing it. He is a
very radical and fearless Personality aggressively
plundering hell and populating heaven. He's always in us
doing that. Glory! This is why Paul told Timothy:
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or
cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of
power and of love and of sound judgment and personal
discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced
mind and self-control]."
2 TIMOTHY 1:7 AMP

BORN WITH A CERTIFICATE OF

ASSURANCE
Am not just happy that am saved. Am glad that my
salvation is secure and am forever save. Not even hell and
Satan can change the fact that am God's kid. This is what
the Father in me is doing. That's why Paul clearly
exclaimed:
"And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,”
leading you back into the fear of never being good
enough But you have received the “Spirit of full
acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And
you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within
us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender
affection, “Beloved Father!” For the Holy Spirit makes
God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our
innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!
Romans 8:15‭-‬16 TPT
The Father is not just giving you assurance of your
Sonship, He is telling you that you are always loved. Even
in your worst state, your Father is launching out for you.
67

Let me quickly tell you this. It might be hard to believe but

it's the truth. It is easier to make heaven than to go to hell.
Oh yes. You've got the most powerful person living in
you, and the best and highest price was paid on your
behalf. You have a Father that loves you so much that He
gives you full assurance that He did not just save you, but
He made sure that nothing can take it (your salvation)
away. If you go the wrong way, He will chase you down
and bring you to His arms. That's how much He loves you.
But if you choose to live as an infidel, then you are hurting
the Father.

ALL GOOD THINGS

"Everything we could ever need for life and godliness
has already been deposited in us by his divine power.
For all this was lavished upon us through the rich
experience of knowing him who has called us by name
and invited us to come to him through a glorious
manifestation of his goodness."
2 Peter 1:3 TPT
Praise be to God! Not some things, but everything that we
could ever need for life and godliness. It's not these things
68

that I love most but how they will come - by his divine
power. The power of God is another name for the Holy
Ghost. The verse points out that all we could ever need for
life and godliness is deposited in us by the Holy Ghost. All
in us because we are His dwelling place. He fills us with
lovable things. There's nothing out of you that can be
lesser than the quality given by God. If it's not the best
then it's not for you. You are now in a better and greater
position than Jacob. Jacob stole the blessing of Esau, yet
we are guaranteed a greater blessing today.
Galatians 3 (KJV)
¹³ Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,
being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is
every one that hangeth on a tree:
¹ That the blessing of Abraham might come on the
Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive
the promise of the Spirit through faith.
We are above curses. Though you might have been guilty
of some ill actions that attracted curses on you, as you
enter the family of Christ, they don't exist anymore. Christ
did not just pay for our freedom, He as well paid for all our
errors till the end of this world. Since we are set free and
69

redeemed fro the curse, we are now entitled to the

blessings of Papa Abraham. But there's something you've
got to see. The verse here gives us an additional revelation.
"…….that we might receive the promise of the Spirit
through faith."
Did you see that? Genesis tells us that God promised
Abraham great blessings. But Paul here under the power of
the Holy Ghost reveals that the promise was made by the
Holy Spirit. This prove that the Father in you is not just
gonna bring the promises to pass but He is the one that
gave them in the first place. You carry God in you. You
are definitely blessed beyond measure. Don't settle for
poverty and unfruitful endeavours. You have the Spirit of
success in you, work with that grace and see your
businesses flourishing immensely. When the Father begins
the work of giving you all that pertains to life and
godliness, then you will realize that all you do is just good.
You impart lives beyond boundaries. Remember Jesus!
"And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went
around doing good and healing all who were oppressed
by the devil, for God was with him."
70

Acts of the Apostles 10:38 NLT

I love how The Passion Translation puts it:
“Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy
Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things
for others and divinely healed all who were under the
tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed him."
Acts 10:38 TPT
You are no different!

CHAPTER SIX
71

CHASTENED, NOT
PUNISHED

One of my favorite verse in the Bible is:

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are
partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Hebrews 12:8 KJV
One key evidence that we are God's kids is that we are
chasetened by God. You must understand that sometimes
the carnal nature of the flesh can drive a believer in the
wrong direction. It can make him or her wander out of
God's plans and will for his or her life. When he or she
seems irresponsive to the leadership of the Holy Ghost
then chastisement is employ. God doesn't want any of His
kids to behave unseemly because He lives in them. Just
like our earthly parents, He chasten us to make us better
sons and daughters of the kingdom.
72

CHASTISEMENT VS PUNISHMENT
God doesn't punish His children. No matter what any
believer have done, he can never attract God's punishment
but only God's chastisement. If a believer go and commit
sin, you must understand that sin have its own results and
fruits. Such a believer might suffer physically as a result of
that careless act, but that's not God punishing him. Let me
give you an instance. If a believer fornicates and
pregnancy results from the act. Will you say it's God's
punishment if she gets shamed, or even being left as a
single mum. It's not God, that's just the effects of her sin.
Nevertheless, she is still a child of God and if she cries to
God, He is ready to help her out of that mess.
God punish unbelievers but chasten His children. The
difference is that punishment is to make one suffer for the
crime he committed. It is channel to bring change in the
person, but to serve justice and payback for evil done. But
that is far from chastisement. Chastisement according to
the Wiktionary is "To punish (in order to bring about
improvement in behavior, attitude, etc.); to restrain,
moderate". This is why the book of Hebrew reveals:
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and
scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
73

—Hebrews 12: 6 (KJV)

The word chasteneth in the verse is translated from the
Greek word παιδεύω - paideúō which means to train up a
child, i.e. educate, or (by implication), discipline. If you
can humbly open up to God and His chastisement, you will
have the best life on Earth. I remember years ago that I
entered into that covenant with God. I asked Him to make
His chastisement clear enough that I will never neglect it.
I've seen it happen many times. Sometimes I see Him
depriving me of certain things just to make sure He keeps
my in form in the spirit. The Father in me understands me
better. He knows what k need and don't need at a certain
time. If I allow what I have to stand on the way to my
fellowship with Him, He simply takes them away to make
sure I focus. I have watch many relationships in my life
crash down. I blamed the other person many times or
myself. But I'll hear the voice of the Father in me saying
clearly "son, that guy would've taken away your focus
from the purpose ahead of you". I will simply smile and
walk away. Oh praise God! This is what Paul said to the
Philippians:
74

"All of us who are spiritually mature should have this

same attitude. But if some of you have a different
attitude, God will make this clear to you."
Philippians 3:15 GNB
The Father in you cannot see you wander to a dead
relationship or business and keeps quiet. If He sees any
trace of bitterness, anger, or list springing out of you, He
immediately put you to knowledge and help you kill it.
Even if you allow it spring up, He chasten you and bring
you back to your stand. This is why Paul could boldly say:
"However, you are not [living] in the flesh [controlled
by the sinful nature] but in the Spirit, if in fact the
Spirit of God lives in you [directing and guiding you].
But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he
does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God]. And
if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead
lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead
will also give life to your mortal bodies through His
Spirit, who lives in you. So then, brothers and sisters,
we have an obligation, but not to our flesh [our human
nature, our worldliness, our sinful capacity], to live
according to the [impulses of the] flesh [our nature
without the Holy Spirit]— for if you are living
75

according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going

to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy]
Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful
deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever . For all
who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of
God are sons of God."
ROMANS 8:9‭, ‬11‭-‬14 AMP
You see! He the Father in You will always put you in
place. Just open up for Him! At the age of 17, I was a
leader of a prayer group that was a terror to the devil's
kingdom. I remember vividly that many nights the
manifestation of the Spirit will be so intense that my
handshake after the service will make demons cry out of
people. Oh boy! I was what we young folks term as
spiritual baller. But the adversary knows how to attack.
Soon pride started to spring up in me, the guys respected
me, the ladies were dying for me. I was the apple of the
Church. I remember on multiple occasions being seduced
by ladies that were possessed. On those occasions, the
Father in me manifested. On one occasion a girl who was
of my age asked to see me privately. I went into the room
ignorantly with her and she seduced me. I no doubt due to
my pride had in mind to compromise but then I saw her
76

screaming that there is fire all around me. That wasn't me

actually. I wanted it, but the Father in me knew I was still
a child so He intervened. The secret to my great grace then
was based on the fact that I spent time in the place of
fellowship than anything on Earth.
As pride in me grew up, I allowed it consumed me. The
ladies (most were older than me) kept coming and I saw
myself as a man of the people. But this truthfully wasn't
what the Father wanted. I could see my late Father
numerous times in the dream warning me of my life. This
wasn't him, but the Father in me using is image is image in
order to get my attention. Since I couldn't listen,
chastisement had to come. You don't need to know
beloved, but it is something I don't advice any minister to
experience. I felt powerless and empty at times and when I
pray, the Father kept telling me "Son, stay in the place of
the word till you are ready." Friends left, the girls left, and
all that remained was the Father and me. After He (the
Father in me) was done with me, oh boy, I became perfect!
I saw me yielding fruits of the Spirit and great virtues of
the Father. My experience was peculiar to that of Paul:
"Even though I have received such wonderful
revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming
77

proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger

from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming
proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take
it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need.
My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad
to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of
Christ can work through me. That’s why I take
pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults,
hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for
Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:7‭-‬10 NLT
Thank God for the Holy Ghost in us. He is the strength of
God! Now let's see the whole verses on chastisement
(Read more than once):
"And have you forgotten his encouraging words
spoken to you as his children? He said, “My child,
don’t underestimate the value of the discipline and
training of the Lord God, or get depressed when he has
to correct you. For the Lord’s training of your life is
the evidence of his faithful love. And when he draws
you to himself, it proves you are his delightful child.”
Fully embrace God’s correction as part of your
training, for he is doing what any loving father does for
78

his children. For who has ever heard of a child who

never had to be corrected? We all should welcome
God’s discipline as the validation of authentic sonship.
For if we have never once endured his correction it
only proves we are strangers and not sons. And isn’t it
true that we respect our earthly fathers even though
they corrected and disciplined us? Then we should
demonstrate an even greater respect for God, our
spiritual Father, as we submit to his life-giving
discipline. Our parents corrected us for the short time
of our childhood as it seemed good to them. But God
corrects us throughout our lives for our own good,
giving us an invitation to share his holiness. Now all
discipline seems to be more pain than pleasure at the
time, yet later it will produce a transformation of
character, bringing a harvest of righteousness and
peace to those who yield to it." — Hebrews 12:5‭-‬11
TPT
All you need to do is to constantly fellowship with the
Father in you. He is waiting. Let me give you a little
advice before I end this book. Make sure you have a
special private time everyday that you don't ask for
anything from God but just commune with the Holy Ghost
in worship and deep emptying of yourself. This is why you
79

have to speak in tongues. You have to communicate

mysteries with Him.
Be very conscious of His presence in you. Talk, walk,
play, joke, relate, and even sleep with His consciousness in
you. His consciousness in you takes away consciousness
of sin and fear. God bless you. Keep the flame. Hold unto
the faith. Let the Father finish His work in You. If you
ever find anything in you that is not of the father, talk to
Him about it. He knows and understands better. At the face
of confusion or threat of failure, go to Him. He is better at
handling stuffs like that. Always remember, YOU'RE A
SON AND NOT A BASTARD!
