Bannari Amman Institute of Technology
Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) is an
AICTE approved, NAAC accredited, ISO 9001-2000
certified self- financing autonomous engineering
college affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. BIT
is nestled on the banks of the river Bhavani at the

established in the year of 1996 in sprawling campus

of the Bannari Amman Group, a largest Industrial

vision to uplift rural areas by importing technical

(ME/MTech) in Engineering/Technology, MBA and
Research (MS/Ph.D) programmes. It has many

About the Department
The department of chemistry was established in
the year 1996 with aim to provide strong
fundamentals in Science and Technology for under
graduate engineering students and to
development research activities in the area of
Applied Chemistry, Environmental science etc. The
department actively engaging in diversified research
work through projects as well as consultancy
projects.
The department is having well qualified (19
