1. A BIRTH CERTIFICATE may be called for in all age classes and must be produced if requested or entry may be
refused.
2. Every endeavour has been made when framing the judging timetable, to avoid the judging of two classes at
the same time in which a single exhibitor may be interested. The Society, however, cannot accept any
responsibility if the judging happens to conflict with one or more class of events.
3. Random swabbing may take place.
4. In cases where age and height is a condition of entry, any protest must be made before the completion of
the judging of the next event.
5. Where an error in the printing of the Ring Events Schedule or timetable has occurred, the ruling of the P A &
H Show committee and/or Ring Steward will be FINAL.
6. There will be NO adding of classes and NO changes made to classes on the day in any way, unless agreed to
by the Chief Horse Steward/Ringmaster and Judge. Please do not ask as refusal may offend.
7. NO STALLIONS will be permitted to enter in open classes.
8. The Barham-Koondrook Show Society WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for any accident that may be caused
through or by an exhibit. It shall be the condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the society blameless
or indemnified against any legal proceedings that may arise from such an accident.
9. THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.
10. Protests must be lodged in writing to the secretary with in one (1) hour from the completion of the event in
question. Protests in all cases must be accompanied by the deposit of $100.00. The deposit will be forfeited
to the society should the protest be deemed frivolous. All protests will be herd by the Show Society Disputes
Committee and the Chief Horse Steward.
11. The Society reserves the right to exclude from completion any entry that behaves in an unruly or dangerous
manor. They may be asked to be removed and no refund will be considered.
12. Any prize money not claimed on the day will be forfeited.
13. DRESS: All competitors must be correctly, safely and suitably attired whilst in attendance at the event and in
the arena. EA RULING ON HELMETS APPLIES. It is COMPULSORY to wear an EA APPROVED standard helmet
at ALL TIMES whilst mounted.
14. Over mounting of small ponies will not be tolerated. Riders of small ponies deemed by the judge to be overly
tall or heavy will not be permitted. THE JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL.
15. INTERMEDIATE: not to have won a first, second or third competing singularly at any Australian Royal Show.
16. ALL COMPETITORS must sign the indemnity and waiver forms and have a wrist band before competing. Wrist
bands will be checked.

Alabar HERO Series
Open to all purebred freeze branded Standardbreds registered with Harness Racing Australia. Raced or
unraced. Registrations will be verified.
There is no requirement for a horse to have been officially named, raced or trialled.
Horse or exhibitor do not need to be registered with any other Association or Breed Society other than
Harness Racing Australia to be eligible to complete. Riders need to be 12yrs and over.
Standardbred classes at shows are to be governed by individual societies. Competitors do not need to be
members of an association to compete unless the societies schedule stipulates this condition.
Once a Qualifier has been won, the horse is ineligible to compete in another Qualifier.
To be judged as a good example of a standardbred rather than a a riding horse/hunterbtype with the
following being taken into consideration:-

Conformation
Manners, paces and performance
Racing related injuries and/or blemishes are permitted.
