General Instructions for the Online Examination (2019)

Further to the instructions on the Admit Card, following Instructions are also important:
A. When the hall ticket is presented to the Examination Center Administrator, it is
verified online and a Password is given to you.
B. You will be allotted a work station and you log in to http://lykasoft.com using browser
Mozilla Firefox. Candidate Login page will open – Enter User Name as your Roll No
EXACTLY WITH NO SPACES for eg. XYZ-000. Then enter the Password given by the
Administrator. CANDIDATE CAN LOG IN ONCE ONLY. Press Submit button and the
test page will open.
C. The test consists of two papers of one hour each.
(a) Engineering, English and General Knowledge and Mechanical and Spatial
Aptitude (100 questions in ONE HOUR), as follows – Section A (50 questions in 30
minutes) and Section B (50 questions in 30 minutes) and
(b) Psychometric test (187 Questions in ONE HOUR)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APTITUDE TEST :
(Section A: Mechanical and Spatial Aptitude; and
Section B: Engineering , English and General Knowledge.
1. Read and understand the Instructions on the Aptitude Test window. Running clock of 30
minutes will start when you click on ' Have read the Instructions. Start Paper ' button below.
The questions will now come on your screen one at a time.
2. After clicking on your choice of Answer, click on 'Save & Next Question' button to get the
next question.
3. If you wish to skip the question for the time being, click on 'Skip' to get next question.
4. All the skipped questions can be attempted after you finish going through all the 50
questions of Section A. 50 questions of Section B. Same applicable for
5. If you want to quit the test in between, then you may press Submit button after which you
will be asked ‘Are you sure you want to submit test’ to which you can press ‘Yes’ and you
will exit the test or you may press ‘Cancel’ to continue the test.
6. Don’t use the ‘Back’ or ‘Forward’ or ‘Refresh’ button of the browser under any
circumstances.
7. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO PRESS ‘SUBMIT TEST’ BUTTON AT THE END OF
APTITUDE TEST.
8. For any assistance during the exam, please call your Examination Center Administrator
After Aptitude test, the Psychometric test will be available.
Instructions for Psychometric Section
1. This test consists of one paper of 60 minutes duration. Clock will start when you click on
"Have read the Instructions. Start Paper".
2. You must answer all questions. Next question will not appear on your screen unless you
have answered the question in front of you.
3. There is no option of skipping a question for answering later.
4. Your paper cannot be assessed if there are unanswered questions, in which case you will
have to redo the test on paper when called for Interview at additional cost of Rs.1500/-
5. There is no right or wrong answer. Click on the option which comes to your mind first.
6. Don’t use the ‘Back’ or ‘Forward’ or ‘Refresh’ button of the browser under any
circumstances.
