Don't disconnect the digital natives

The term digital native describes a person who has grown up in the digital age,
rather than having acquired familiarity with digital systems as an adult, as a
digital immigrant

Junior millennials are very adept at technology. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are
a daily part of their life -- and work, as well. 56% of millennials would turn down a
job that denied them access to social networks.

Millennials are the first to embrace and take advantage of technology that connects
people electronically. This experience and knowledge can help expand
communication both internally and externally for your firm.

- Instead of prohibiting them to use their smartphones and personal devices, let them
use it for work. Not only it will help boosts their performance, but it will also show
them that you trust them

- Digital Transformation can Empower Employees to Work Better, Faster, and

Smarter by using innovative solutions

 For example, using Microsoft Office 365 can help your staff work and
collaborate without wasting time by creating a more streamlined working
environment:
 Focused Inbox help you better focus on the emails that matter most to you
 @mentions help you focus on what needs attention and better call others’
attention to actions within your emails.
 Groups allows you to define specific teams and enable their members to
collaborate easily, share calendars, exchange files and take and share notes
using OneNote.

- Inverse mentoring programs could help older employees learn from millennials'
technological skills. The evaluation of new purchases and technological developments
could also benefit from this tech-savvy generation.
