ISSUE PRESENTATION
 Students are required to form a group, consisting
of 3 members and present the assigned work.
Each group is required to present TWO issues
related to the financial management.
 Note that students are given the assignment
requirements during the first week of the
semester 151.
 Students are required to choose the topic and
date of presentation in the second week and the
presentation begins in week 8 until week 14

WRITTEN CASE ANALYSIS
 Students are required to form a group, consisting
of 3 members and solve the given case study in
written.
 The case study is given on weekly basis
from the Raymond Brook’s text book (end of
chapter mini case study) and students are
required to submit 5 cases.
 Each case contributes 5%.

CASE STUDY PRESENTATION
QUESTION
 Students are required to form a group of THREE
members and register their grouping with their
respective class representative (CR) by Week 2.
Lecturer’s approval must be obtained if there is any
change in the number of students due to withdrawal
from the course.

 REQUIRED: TEAM PRESENTATION

Prepare a 20 minutes presentation for the class related


to issues in financial management. Each member of the
team MUST participate in the presentation, and after
the presentation you will be expected to entertain
questions for a 10 minutes from both the class and the
lecturer.
Note that students are required to present TWO 5

WRITTEN CASE STUDY - QUESTION
 Students are required to form a group of THREE
members and register their grouping with their respective
class representative (CR) by Week 2. Lecturer’s approval
must be obtained if there is any change in the number of
students due to withdrawal from the course. The deadline
for written assignment submission is set at the end of
week throughout the semester during the class hour.
Note: that students are given FIVE written case
studies to complete.
REQUIREMENTS:
The case study is given on weekly basis from the Raymond
Brook’s text book (end of chapter mini case study) and
students are required to submit 5 cases. Each case
contributes 5%, yielding 25% in total

ISSUE PRESENTATION:
Go the web site such as Yahoo.com and find the financial statements
of any one company for the past three years (try to use the recent
years i.e. 2013,2014,2015)
Using common size statements for the three years , calculate the
financial ratios: current ratio, profit margin, debt to equity ratio,
total asset turnover ratio, return on assets, return on equity, EPS,
PEG ratio.
Use the extended Du Pont equation to provide a summary and
overview of the company’s financial condition.
Based on your analysis of the above ratio, would you invest in,
either as a bond holder or a stock holder.
