Growing up healthy and strong depends on many things and one of them is eating healthy. The food
pyramid is known to have been a very good guideline in maintaining a good daily diet. This is later
translated into daily meal portions per serving of two quarters and a half. This plate encourages
people to choose fish, poultry, beans or nuts, protein sources that contain other healthful nutrients.
The first quarter consists of proteins such as fish or meat. The second quarter consists of
carbohydrates such as rice or bread. Finally, the half consists of fruits and vegetables.
