hELECTRICAL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS

Screw Driver- These tools are made of steel


hardened and tempered at the tip used to loosen
tightens screws with slotted heads. They come in
various sizes and shapes like Standard/flat screw
driver, Philips screw driver, stubby screw driver and
allen screw driver/wrench.

Hammer- These are tools used in driving or


pounding and pulling out nails. they are made of hard
steel, wood, plastic or rubber. Hammers vary in
shape, size, and structure, depending on their
purposes. The following are types of hammer: A. Claw
Hummer B. Mallet C. Ballpeen hummer.

Pliers- These are made from metal with insulators in


the handle and are used for cutting, twisting,
bending, holding, and gripping wires and cables.
Types of pliers are combination pliers, side cutting
pliers and long nose pliers.

Wire Stripper- A wire stripper is a plier-like device


that helps you remove the plastic coating around
copper wires. a tool for removing insulation of
medium sized wires ranging from gauge#10 to gauge
#6.

Electrician's knife- An electrician's knife usable for


wiring is disclosed in which the handle portion
thereof comprises an integral thick insulation and a
substantially flat tube which serves as a sheath for
receiving a cutting blade adapted to be axially
slidable therein but inseparable therefrom.
Portable Electric Drill- is basically an electric
motor in a metal housing . The housing is fitted with a
"chuck" into which a bit or other attachment can
be inserted. The portable electric drill, although
varying in size and design, usually has either a spade
or pistol-grip handle

Hacksaw- A hacksaw is a fine-toothed saw,


originally and principally made for cutting metal. They
can also cut various other materials, such as plastic
and wood; for example, plumbers and electricians
often cut plastic pipe and plastic conduit with them.
