Ninoy Aquino

born to Benigno S. Aquino, Sr., nationalist, speaker and later Senator of the

Philippines, and Aurora A. Aquino, in Concepcion Town, Tarlac province. His

paternal grandfather was General Servillano Aquino, famed revolutionary,

who fought first the Spanish and then the Americans at the turn of the

century.
