One day a merchant was on his way to his village. He was riding his horse fast. He had to
go through a dense forest. It was late in the evening. He was carrying a bag of money as
he was returning from the town-market. Suddenly there was rain. He was drenched. He
got wet. He blamed God for the sudden rain. Just then a robber came there. He took out
his gun and aimed at the merchant. His gun also got wet. So, the gun-powder did not
come off as expected. Meanwhile, the merchant drove his horse very fast. He went out of
the reach of the merchant. He was saved from the robber. Then he felt sorry for blaming
God for the sudden rain. He thought to himself, “The ways of God are strange. He caused
rain to save me. I failed to understand His act. In future, I shall receive whatever God
destines.”
