• Enculturation is the process by which a person
adapts the behavior patterns of the culture he lives
in.

• Socialization is the lifelong learning process of social


interaction through which individuals acquire a self
identity and the physical, mental and social skills
needed for survival in society.

• Status – ascribed and achieved
• Ascribed Status : fixed for an individual at birth.
• Achieved Status – those which the individual
acquires during his or her lifetime because of the

perseverance.
