A shenti was a kilt-like piece of garment consisting of a
linen fabric tied around the waist long rectangle of cloth
and kept in place by a girdle draped over the left
shoulder and wound
around the body

medivial huque-The heuke (German) or huque (French)

was a bell-shaped cloak (less material needed than a
circular one)
which came up in the 14th century and was an
inherent part of female clothing.
The heuke was, when worn by women,
generally floor-long and could have a train; a hood and
collar were also common.

of sewn clothing worn by
ancient Greeks
from 750-30 BC. It was generally
made from single rectangle of
woolen or linen fabric.
Long Doric chiton was worn by
women while men wore chiton
that came to the knees. Sleeved
form was reserved for priests
and actors.

In Homeric times people either
wore the tunic or chiton or himation or the cloak.
There are two types of tunics- doric and Ionian. The tunic fell from
the shoulder and on both sides there were opening for the arms.
The Ionian tunic was much lighter and was fastened with 2 belts
