For disassembling you need the Nokia Standard toolkit version 2. You will also need the camera removal
tool SS-210. If the device is brought to service due to problems with NFC or wireless charging, please
collect the BATTERY COVER as well.

Protect the TOUCH SCREEN with protective film.


Use the finger groove just below the USB connector to release the BATTERY COVER.

Remove the BATTERY COVER. If there is a battery inside, remove it also.


Pull out the SIM tray.

Use the SRT-6 to release the HSJ SEAL GASKET and remove it. Do not use it again. Discard it.
Unscrew the twelve TORX+ size 4 screws from the bottom of the device. The screw order is not relevant.
Do not use the screws again. Discard them.

Separate the CHASSIS ASSEMBLY by lifting it up bottom end first.


When operating the ENGINE BOARD be careful not to damage the spring clips. Gloves can get tangled up
in them easily.

Disconnect the LCD connector with the SS-93. Be careful not to damage the connector or any
components nearby.
Release the clip holding the ENGINE BOARD with the sharp end of the SS-93. Be careful not to damage
the components on the ENGINE BOARD.

Make sure the two clips on the other side of the device are also released.
Fold the engine board carefully as shown.

Be careful not to damage the flex underneath.


Disconnect the TOUCH connector with the SS-93. Be careful not to damage the connector or any
components nearby.

The ENGINE BOARD and the A-COVER can now be separated.


Release the USB BOOT with the sharp end of the SS-93 and remove it.

Disconnect the SKYPE CAMERA FLEX ASSEMBLY connector with the SRT-6. Be careful not to damage the
connector or any components nearby. Remove the SKYPE CAMERA FLEX ASSEMBLY with tweezers. Make
sure there is no foam residue left on the ENGINE BOARD.
Use the SS-93 to detach the TOUCH SENSOR DRIVER GASKET and remove it with tweezers. Be careful
not to damage any components nearby. The TOUCH SENSOR DRIVER GASKET can not be used again.
Discard it.

Peel off the COPPER TAPE with the SS-93 and remove it with tweezers. Be careful not to damage any
components nearby while detaching the tape. The COPPER TAPE can not be used again. Discard it.
Carefully release the PMIC SHIELDING LID with the dental tool. Be careful not to injure yourself or
damage any nearby components with the sharp end of the dental tool. The PMIC SHIELDING LID is not
reusable. Discard it.

Release the CAMERA BOOT with the sharp end of the SS-93 and remove it with tweezers. Notice the
latch on the CAMERA socket which holds the CAMERA BOOT.
Release the TABBY BOOT with the SS-93 and remove it with tweezers.

Use the camera removal tool SS-210 to detach the CAMERA. Press down the metal sheets until the
camera retaining clips are released. Then hold from the sides of the SS-210 and pull out the CAMERA.
Disconnect the MICRO SD connector with the SS-93. Be careful not to damage the connector or any
components nearby.

Use the SRT-6 to release the MICRO SD FLEX ASSEMBLY and remove it with tweezers. Do not use it
again. Discard it.
Adhesive residue have to be removed before a new MICRO SD FLEX ASSEMBLY can be mounted.

Release the EARPIECE with the sharp end of the SS-93 and remove it with tweezers. The EARPIECE is not
reusable. Discard it.
Remove the EARPIECE ADHESIVE. Do not use it again. Discard it.

Detach the PRIMARY MIC OUTLET MESH AND GASKET from the A-COVER with tweezers. Do not use it
again. Discard it.
Detach the SECONDARY MIC OUTLET MESH AND GASKET with tweezers. Do not use it again. Discard it.

Lift up the IHF SPEAKER with the SS-93 and remove it with tweezers. Do not use it again. Discard it.
Remove the SPEAKER GASKET from the speaker slot. Do not use it again. Discard it.

Use tweezers to peel off the IHF OUTLET GASKET. Do not use it again. Discard it.
Use tweezers to peel off the VIBRA GASKET. Do not use it again. Discard it.

Release the AV FLEX ASSEMBLY with the sharp end of the SS-93 and remove it. Do not use it again.
Discard it. Remove also the FLASH WINDOW ADHESIVE and discard it.
The Nokia Lumia 810 disassembly procedure is complete.

For assembling you need the Nokia Standard toolkit version 2.

Remove the IHF OUTLET GASKET protective film.


Place the IHF OUTLET GASKET to the bottom of the CHASSIS with tweezers and press gently to activate
the adhesive. Make sure that it is aligned straight within the recess area and the thinner side is facing up.

Remove the FLASH WINDOW ADHESIVE protective film. Leave the other part of the protective film
attached.
Place the FLASH WINDOW ADHESIVE on the CHASSIS and press it with the SS-93 to activate the adhesive.

Peel off the protective film from the FLASH WINDOW ADHESIVE.
Remove the protective film from the AV FLEX ASSEMBLY.

Place the AV FLEX ASSEMBLY to the CHASSIS. Use the two shown pins to get the right alignment.
Gently press the flex with the SS-93 to activate the adhesive. Be careful not to damage the contact pads
on the flex.

Then press down to attach the AV jack and the flash module.
Remove the VIBRA GASKET protective film. Leave the other part of the protective film attached.

Place the VIBRA GASKET to its place and press down to activate the adhesive.
Peel off the protective film from the VIBRA GASKET.

Remove the SPEAKER GASKET protective film.


Place the SPEAKER GASKET to the speaker slot and press it with the SS-93 to activate the adhesive.

Place the IHF SPEAKER with tweezers and press it gently with the SS-93. Make sure the IHF SPEAKER is
positioned correctly and the springs are facing the right way.
Remove the protective film from the camera slot.

Remove the protective film from the MICRO SD FLEX ASSEMBLY.


When operating the ENGINE BOARD be careful not to damage the spring clips. Gloves can get tangled up
in them easily.

Place the MICRO SD FLEX ASSEMBLY on the SIM cage and press it gently to activate the adhesive. Use
the shown holes to get the right alignment.
Connect the MICRO SD FLEX connector with the SS-93. Be careful not to damage the connector or any
components nearby.

Place the CAMERA to its place with tweezers. Make sure that the guiding pin is aligned correctly.
Gently push the CAMERA from the sides into the CAMERA socket so that the CAMERA retaining pin is
locked.

Place the TABBY BOOT to its place.


Place the CAMERA BOOT on top of the CAMERA and press from the sides to get it attached. Notice the
latch on the CAMERA socket which holds the CAMERA BOOT.

Place the PMIC SHIELDING LID to the ENGINE BOARD and press from the sides to get it firmly attached.
Remove the COPPER TAPE from the protective film.

Place the COPPER TAPE to its place on the ENGINE BOARD and press gently to activate the adhesive.
Remove the TOUCH SENSOR DRIVER GASKET protective film.

Place the TOUCH SENSOR DRIVER GASKET to the ENGINE BOARD and press it gently.
Place the SKYPE CAMERA FLEX ASSEMBLY to its place. Use the guiding lines on the ENGINE BOARD to get
the right alignment. Then connect the SKYPE CAMERA FLEX connector with the SS-93. Be careful not to
damage the connector or any components nearby.

Place the USB BOOT to its place.


Make sure the two shown pins goes to the other side of the ENGINE BOARD.

Remove the PRIMARY MIC OUTLET MESH AND GASKET protective film.
Place the PRIMARY MIC OUTLET MESH AND GASKET to the bottom end of the A-COVER and press it
gently. Make sure the thinner side is facing the USB recess area.

Remove the SECONDARY MIC OUTLET MESH AND GASKET protective film.
Place the SECONDARY MIC OUTLET MESH AND GASKET to the top end of the A-COVER and press it
gently. Make sure the thicker side is facing the DISPLAY side.

Remove the EARPIECE ADHESIVE protective film. Leave the other part of the protective film attached.
Place the EARPIECE ADHESIVE to its place and press it to activate the adhesive.

Peel off the protective film from the EARPIECE ADHESIVE.


Place the EARPIECE to its place with tweezers and press it gently.

Remove the tape that covers the adhesive on the UI ASSEMBLY. Use plastic tweezers if possible.
Bend the touch connector flex over the UI ASSEMBLY and press it to activate the adhesive.

Then bend the flex diagonally as shown. Use the dotted line on the flex as guidance. Be careful not to
bend the flex over the shown part on the UI ASSEMBLY. Try to avoid touching the touch driver.
Place the ENGINE BOARD next to the UI ASSEMBLY and connect the touch connector. Be careful not to
damage the connector or any components nearby.

Assemble the ENGINE BOARD to the UI ASSEMBLY shown side first. Make sure the edge of the ENGINE
BOARD goes under the clips on the UI ASSEMBLY.
Then press down the other side of the ENGINE BOARD and make sure the clips are attached.

Connect the display connector with the SS-93. Be careful not to damage the connector.
Place the CHASSIS top end first.

Fasten the twelve TORX+ size 4 screws in the order shown to the torque of 13 +/-1 Ncm.
Remove the HSJ SEAL GASKET protective film.

Place the HSJ SEAL GASKET on the CHASSIS and press it from the top and side to activate the adhesive.
Use the shown hole to get the right alignment and make sure the HSJ SEAL GASKET is not overlapping
the AV jack hole.

Insert the SIM TRAY.


Remove the protective film from the camera window.

Assemble the BATTERY COVER top end first.


Then press down the bottom end and make sure the BATTERY COVER is firmly attached.

The Nokia Lumia 810 assembly procedure is complete.

Hardware reset
If the phone hardware is jammed, you should first
recommend that the consumer performs a hardware reset.
The hardware reset does not reset the Windows Live ID or
remove any consumer data.
To perform a hardware reset remove the battery and
reinsert it. Boot up the phone normally.

Software / operating system (OS) reset


The software / operating system (OS) reset returns the phone to its out-of-the-box state. Note that this
procedure erases all consumer data! Always first try to perform a hardware reset.

Option 1: About menu


- Use this option if the consumer knows the lock code
- This option warns the consumer about data loss!
- Tap Settings > About > reset your phone
Option 2: Hardware key combination
- Use this option if the phone is locked and the consumer does not know the code
- Note: no warning about data loss!
- Do not advertise this feature to consumers!

Follow next steps to perform OS reset with phone keys.

Step 1
Make sure the phone is turned Off.

1. Press and hold the power key


2. Phone vibrates (release the
power key)
3. Press and hold the volume
down key
4. Exclamation mark is shown on
the screen (release the volume
down key)

Step 2
Input the following key
combination:
1. Volume up
2. Volume down
3. Power
4. Volume down

Step 3
The phone will reset and reboot
automatically. Animated gears
should be shown on the screen.
Please note that the process may
take several minutes and that the
phone controls should not be
touched during this time.
