When you start

This paper was created by Natalie, Translated by Ricardo.

1. Download App: The Fork (El Tenedor). Handy for reservations. Saves calling and gets you
discounts if you eat there and you can save points
2. Download the app: Mytaxi / Cabify (kind of uber) You don't have to stop / call a taxi. Mytaxi
is not always very reliable ...
3. Aerobus: from the airport to enter the center. It costs € 5.90 per person and you have to pay
cash.
4. Taxi: from airport to the center is +/- € 35
5. Rent a bike: Just for a few hours, it can give you some new perspectives.
6. Walk a lot: Nothing is really far..
7. Buy a T10 – 1 zone card: You can use this everywhere, so metro, bus and tram. With this card
you can make 10 journeys for 10 euros and you can share it with your buddy. The metro runs
until noon and on Saturday 24 hours.
8. Drink cava! It is actually just champagne but may not just be called by the protected name.
9. Drink Clara in the summer! Similar to Radler (Beer with lemon), but really better! They also
have it everywhere on tap!
10. Order a caña (pronounce: canja). Is just a beer (vase)
11. Pay close atrestaurantion to your bag: Barcelona is the capital of pickpocketing. Never put
your bag on the floor. Specially on places like La Ramblas
12. Go and eat from 21:00 / 21:30: That is, if you do not want to sit alone in a restaurant, or just
want to sit among the tourists. The eating times are a bit late.
13. If you get a fine: Let’s hope that this won’t happen. If it does, give up the address of your home
country, smaller chance that you will actually get it in your mailbox!
14. Speaking English: A lot of people in Barcelona speak English, but some people are not the
confident about their accent in English. Don’t worry, they are not being rude. They really
appreciate it if you try to speak some Spanish.

water clearer! E.g. Badalona (also many bars, etc.) Montgat Nord (there is nothing here, so
