BIO:
“Lincoln Long” (born Lincoln Ndzalama Hlongwane) is an artist and producer powerhouse
from Waterval, Limpopo. One marvels at how so much music can co-exist inside of one
human. A possible reason for this would the influence brought on by a Father that toured the
country with his band. The learnings in the ether during practice nights surely spilled over
onto a starry-eyed Lincoln.
Throughout his journey into the music industry, Lincoln Long pit-stopped - much like many
artists - at different corners of music. From DJing, to initial stages of production to finally
taking on the role of artist, Lincoln Long’s education in the arts spans a decade long tale. And
now, we finally get to see the fruits of his learnings and labour.    
Lincoln Long’s debut mixtape titled “Moonshot” will be one for the books. Having garnered
collaborations with multi-platinum selling composers from the U.S., “Moonshot” seems to be
an eclectic fusion of sounds, rich in Limpopo heritage, but clearly contagious to all ears the
world over. Earlier on in the year, Lincoln Long teased this new sound with the release of two
singles; “Yinwe” and “Drugs” - to much excitement from his core fans. A ‘Moonshot’ is what is
known as an ambitious expedition and ground-breaking project, and from the sounds of the
two teasers, “Moonshot” the album will prove to be just that.
